# Add domain

Add a domain to a group with its default search settings.

`POST https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/accuranker/domains`

Access: write.

Returns the new domain with its ID. A group that does not exist fails with GROUP_NOT_FOUND; create the group in AccuRanker first. It adds no keywords, reaches no one and is undone by deleting the domain in the app, so it does not wait for your OK.

## Parameters

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `domain_name` | string | yes | Domain without https:// and www. |
| `group` | string | yes | Name of an existing group. |
| `display_name` | string | no | Label shown in your data. |
| `search_engine` | string | no | Default search engine: Google, Bing, Baidu or YouTube. |
| `country_locale` | string | no | Default country and language, for example United States (English). |
| `location` | string | no | Default location; leave out for country level. |
| `google_business_name` | string | no | Helps find local ranking data. |
| `include_subdomains` | boolean | no | Count results from subdomains. |
| `exact_match` | boolean | no | Count only results whose URL exactly matches the domain name. |
