# Delete mentions

> Deletes mentions from a project, and can block their source or mark them as spam. Inputs, cURL, Python and Node.js examples and an example response.

Deletes mentions from a project, and can block their source or mark them as spam.

`DELETE https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/brand24/projects/{project_id}/mentions`

Access: write. Confirm: waits for the user's OK before it runs.

Removes the mentions from the project's charts and lists. A block is undone only in the project settings, Sources tab, with delete filter; Brand24 documents no way to restore a deleted mention. By default you confirm each call; you can switch that off for this tool.

## Parameters

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `project_id` | integer | yes | Project ID from list_projects. |
| `mention_ids` | string[] | yes | Mention IDs from list_mentions. |
| `block_source` | boolean | no | Also block the domain or social media author of each mention in this project (Delete and Block). Default false. |
| `mark_spam` | boolean | no | Report the mentions as SPAM. Default false. |
