# Record payment

`POST https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/jobber/invoices/{invoice_id}/payments`

Access: write. Confirm: waits for the user's OK before it runs.

Records an offline payment as Collect Payment does in Jobber. A payment that covers the full balance changes the invoice to Paid. It does not charge a card. By default you confirm each call; you can switch that off for this tool.

## Parameters

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `invoice_id` | string | yes | Invoice ID from list_invoices. |
| `amount` | number | yes | Amount received, in the invoice currency. |
| `method` | string | yes | How it was paid, e.g. cash or check. |
| `paid_on` | date | no | Date received. Default: today. |
