# Activate or pause campaign

`PUT https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/mautic/campaigns/{campaign_id}/active`

Access: write. Confirm: waits for the user's OK before it runs.

Sets the Active switch of the campaign. Turning it on lets the campaign start sending to its contact sources, a segment or a form, so Mautic advises not to activate a campaign until you are ready for it to go live. Turning it off stops it. By default you confirm each call; you can switch that off for this tool.

## Parameters

| `active` | boolean | yes | true turns the campaign on, false turns it off. |
