# Create project

Access: write.

Returns the new project with its ID, ready for create_booking. It reaches no one and you can archive or edit it in Resource Guru, so it does not wait for your OK. Needs Manager permission or higher in Resource Guru.

## Parameters

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `name` | string | yes | Project name. |
| `project_code` | string | no | Short code shown in reports. |
| `client_id` | integer | no | Client ID from list_clients or create_client. |
| `start_date` | string | no | Project start, YYYY-MM-DD. |
| `end_date` | string | no | Project end, YYYY-MM-DD. |
| `default_billable` | boolean | no | True if bookings for this project default to billable. |
| `notes` | string | no | Notes on the project. |
