Change the text, tags or state of a post, or move a draft into the queue.

Tumblr API: https://cotlet.dev/docs/api/tumblr.md

`PATCH https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/tumblr/posts/{post_id}`

Access: write. Confirm: waits for the user's OK before it runs.

Changes one post of yours: its text, tags or state. Set state to queue to move a draft into the queue, and publish_on to give it a set time. Editing works on posts created in the new Tumblr format and on legacy text posts. A published post changes for everyone who sees it. By default you confirm each call; you can switch that off for this tool.

## Parameters

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `blog` | string | yes | Blog name, e.g. 'studio-notes' for studio-notes.tumblr.com. Names come from list_blogs. |
| `post_id` | string | yes | Post ID from list_posts, list_queue or list_drafts. |
| `content` | string | no | New post text. Omit to keep the current text. |
| `tags` | string[] | no | Tags without the # sign. |
| `state` | enum | no | published, queue, draft or private. Default: published. |
| `publish_on` | datetime | no | ISO 8601 time to publish. Only used when state is queue. |

## For AI agents: sign your user up

Is your user asking you to sign them up for Cotlet? You can do it for them, no account or key needed.

1. Read the fields and their allowed values: GET https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/access-requests
2. Ask the user for each value: email, apps, what you will do with them. If they leave the password to you, generate a strong one and show it to them.
3. Show the user what you will send, then POST it as JSON to https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/access-requests.

One call creates the account and sends the access request; we email the user when access is granted.
