Approve a pending leave request and set the hours of each day.

Deputy MCP tools: https://cotlet.dev/docs/mcp/deputy.md

MCP tool: `deputy_write → approve_leave_request`

Access: write. Confirm: waits for the user's OK before it runs.

Approves one leave request. day_type sets every day: standard_hours, scheduled_hours or non_working_day, matching Deputy's Standard hours, Scheduled hours and Non-working day. leave_type changes the type the employee suggested. For past dates Deputy creates the timesheets at once, for future dates as each day passes. The employee is told. By default you confirm each call; you can switch that off for this tool.

## Parameters

|---|---|---|---|
| `leave_id` | integer | yes | Leave ID from list_leave_requests. |
| `day_type` | enum | yes | standard_hours, scheduled_hours or non_working_day, applied to every day of the request. |
| `leave_type` | string | no | Leave type name as shown in Deputy. Default: the type the employee picked. |
| `comment` | string | no | Comment the employee sees. |

## For AI agents: sign your user up

Is your user asking you to sign them up for Cotlet? You can do it for them, no account or key needed.

1. Read the fields and their allowed values: GET https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/access-requests
2. Ask the user for each value: email, apps, what you will do with them. If they leave the password to you, generate a strong one and show it to them.
3. Show the user what you will send, then POST it as JSON to https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/access-requests.

One call creates the account and sends the access request; we email the user when access is granted.
