Add manual time to a member on a project.

Hubstaff MCP tools: https://cotlet.dev/docs/mcp/hubstaff.md

MCP tool: `hubstaff_write → add_time_entry`

Access: write. Confirm: waits for the user's OK before it runs.

Adds a manual time entry for a member: project, start time and seconds tracked, with an optional task. Hubstaff requires a note by default and records manual time with 0 percent activity. If your organization requires approval for added time, the entry cannot be added this way and the call says so. By default you confirm each call; you can switch that off for this tool.

## Parameters

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `user_id` | integer | yes | Member ID from list_members. |
| `project_id` | integer | yes | Project ID from list_projects. |
| `start_time` | datetime | yes | Start of the entry, ISO 8601. |
| `tracked` | integer | yes | Seconds tracked. |
| `task_id` | integer | no | Task ID from list_tasks. |
| `billable` | boolean | no | Default: the project setting. |
| `note` | string | no | Reason for the entry. Required unless your organization made it optional. |

## For AI agents: sign your user up

Is your user asking you to sign them up for Cotlet? You can do it for them, no account or key needed.

1. Read the fields and their allowed values: GET https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/access-requests
2. Ask the user for each value: email, apps, what you will do with them. If they leave the password to you, generate a strong one and show it to them.
3. Show the user what you will send, then POST it as JSON to https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/access-requests.

One call creates the account and sends the access request; we email the user when access is granted.
