Create a project with a billable default and its members.

Hubstaff MCP tools: https://cotlet.dev/docs/mcp/hubstaff.md

MCP tool: `hubstaff_write → create_project`

Access: write.

Creates a project and returns it. Only the name is required; add a description, a client, a billable default and members with roles viewer, user or manager in the same call. It reaches no one outside the members you list, and you can archive the project in Hubstaff in one click, so it does not ask for confirmation by default.

## Parameters

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `organization_id` | integer | yes | Organization ID from list_organizations. |
| `name` | string | yes | Project name. |
| `description` | string | no | Project description. |
| `billable` | boolean | no | Whether time is billable by default. Default: true. |
| `client_id` | integer | no | Client to link; clients need a Teams or Enterprise plan. |
| `members` | object[] | no | List of { user_id, role }, role is viewer, user or manager. |

## For AI agents: sign your user up

Is your user asking you to sign them up for Cotlet? You can do it for them, no account or key needed.

1. Read the fields and their allowed values: GET https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/access-requests
2. Ask the user for each value: email, apps, what you will do with them. If they leave the password to you, generate a strong one and show it to them.
3. Show the user what you will send, then POST it as JSON to https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/access-requests.

One call creates the account and sends the access request; we email the user when access is granted.
