Add a tag to articles, or take one off. A new tag name creates the tag.

Inoreader MCP tools: https://cotlet.dev/docs/mcp/inoreader.md

MCP tool: `inoreader_write → tag_article`

Access: write.

Adds the tag to up to 50 articles, or removes it when remove is true. Tags are visible only to you and an article can carry several. It reaches no one and is undone with one more call, so it runs without asking first. A tag assigned this way can trigger a rule that watches that tag, and that rule may email or send the article on.

## Parameters

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `article_ids` | array | yes | Article IDs from list_articles or search_articles, up to 50 per call. |
| `tag` | string | yes | Tag name, for example rag-research. |
| `remove` | boolean | no | true takes the tag off. Default: false. |

## For AI agents: sign your user up

Is your user asking you to sign them up for Cotlet? You can do it for them, no account or key needed.

1. Read the fields and their allowed values: GET https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/access-requests
2. Ask the user for each value: email, apps, what you will do with them. If they leave the password to you, generate a strong one and show it to them.
3. Show the user what you will send, then POST it as JSON to https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/access-requests.

One call creates the account and sends the access request; we email the user when access is granted.
