# Add candidate note

MCP tool: `jobdiva_write → add_candidate_note`

Access: write.

Saves the note on the record and returns its note_id. The action is the type name as set up in your JobDiva account; copy one from list_candidate_notes. job_id links the note to an open job. It sends nothing and reaches no one, so it does not wait for your OK.

## Parameters

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `candidate_id` | integer | yes | Candidate ID from search_candidates or find_candidate. |
| `note` | string | yes | Text of the note. |
| `action` | string | no | Action type name as set up in your JobDiva account, for example Phone Call. |
| `job_id` | integer | no | Open job the note is about. |
