# Update booking

MCP tool: `resource_guru_write → update_booking`

Access: write. Confirm: waits for the user's OK before it runs.

Returns the booking after the change. On a multi-resource booking the change applies to every resource on it. Confirming a tentative booking shows it on the booked people's Dashboard, and with the Approval Workflow on it can come back pending. By default you confirm each call; you can switch that off for this tool.

## Parameters

| `start_date` | string | no | New first day, YYYY-MM-DD. |
| `end_date` | string | no | New last day, YYYY-MM-DD. |
| `minutes_per_day` | integer | no | New minutes per day, 1 to 1440. |
| `resource_ids` | integer[] | no | Replace the booked people or resources. |
| `project_id` | integer | no | Move the booking to another project. |
| `tentative` | boolean | no | False confirms a tentative booking, true makes it tentative. |
| `clash_resolution` | string | no | What to do when a resource has no free time: add_to_waiting_list, book_with_overtime or increase_availability. |
