# Assign conversation

MCP tool: `simpletexting_write → assign_conversation`

Access: write.

Picks the team member from the dropdown at the top of the conversation. The member must have accepted the invitation under Team. Nothing is sent to the contact, and assigning it to someone else undoes it in one call, so it does not wait for your OK.

## Parameters

| `assignee` | string | yes | Name of the team member, as the Team page shows it. |
