# Bulk add keywords to AccuRanker

> Add a pasted keyword list to an AccuRanker domain with the locale, device and tags you pick, and see the tracked keyword count before it runs.

Your content team sends a spreadsheet of 40 new keywords for a launch, and someone has to open the domain in AccuRanker and enter them with the right country, engine, devices and tag.

Cotlet does it in your own AccuRanker account with list\_domains, list\_keywords and add\_keywords, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

## Can AccuRanker do this on its own?

AccuRanker has a Write API (v4) that creates keywords, but it needs a developer and an API token (checked 23 Oct 2026). The official MCP is read-only and cannot add keywords. The app itself adds keywords from the Add keywords window, from Keyword Discovery and from a CSV import.

## How you do it in AccuRanker today

1. Open Domains in the main menu, click the domain, go to the Keywords tab and click Add keywords.
2. Pick a method: enter keywords manually, use keyword suggestions, import from Google Search Console or import from CSV.
3. On the right of the window, click Add Search Engine, choose the country and language, then the search engine and devices, and click Add Locale. Add a location and tags if the keywords need them.
4. Read the total in the bottom-left corner, which shows how many tracked keywords will actually be added, then confirm.
5. A second locale or a new device means walking through the window again, and a typo in the pasted list is tracked as a keyword of its own.

## How to bulk add keywords to AccuRanker

Prompt

```
Add these 40 keywords to the Acme Outdoors domain in AccuRanker. Track them on Google in the United States, desktop and mobile, tag them q4-launch, and tell me how many tracked keywords that adds before you start.
```

1. 01
### Find the right domain
Your agent calls list\_domains with the name from your prompt and compares display names. When two domains match, such as a .com and a .co.uk of the same client, it stops and asks which one, because keywords added to the wrong domain count against your plan.
2. 02
### Drop what is already tracked
AccuRanker's guide does not say how it treats duplicates, so the agent reads the domain with list\_keywords, searching for each keyword in your list. Keywords already tracked in the same locale, engine and device are left out and named in the report.
3. 03
### Count before adding
A keyword counts once for every country locale, search engine, device and location you select. The agent multiplies your list by those choices, so 20 new keywords on desktop and mobile come to 40 tracked keywords, and tells you before it asks for approval.
4. 04
### Add in one call
add\_keywords sends the list with the engine, locale, devices and tags you named. Google, Bing, Baidu and YouTube are the engines in the app; the Google-only switches (Ignore Local Results, Ignore Featured Snippets, Autocorrect) stay at the domain's defaults unless you ask for them.
5. 05
### Read the domain back
The agent calls list\_keywords once more and reports which of your keywords now show up on the domain and which did not, so a rejected row does not hide inside a total.

### What you get back

Example data

```
Domain: Acme Outdoors (48213)
Already tracked, skipped: 4
Added 36 keywords on Google, United States, desktop and mobile
Tracked keywords added: 72
Tag q4-launch applied to all 36
Not found after adding: 0
```

### Other ways to ask

- Add the keywords from this CSV to every domain in the Clients group, on Google and Bing.
- Add these keywords on mobile only, with the location set to Chicago.
- Show me the tracked keyword count this list would add, but do not add anything yet.
- Every Monday, add the new keywords from this sheet to the Acme Outdoors domain.

## What AccuRanker allows, and what to know first

- AccuRanker counts a keyword once for each country locale, search engine, device type and location, so one keyword on Google desktop and mobile in one locale counts as 2 tracked keywords.
- The search engines in the Add keywords window are Google, Bing, Baidu and YouTube, and the device is desktop, mobile or both.
- A location can be as broad as a country or as narrow as a street address, and AccuRanker allows unlimited locations; leave it blank for country-level data.
- Autocorrect is off by default, which helps brand names that Google tends to autocorrect.
- The Add keywords window opens by itself right after a domain is added, and Keyword Discovery caps an import at the size of your plan.

add\_keywords asks for your OK by default. To run it weekly without you, switch confirmation off for that tool in your dashboard.

## Call add\_keywords from a script

curl

```
curl -X POST https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/accuranker/domains/48213/keywords \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $COTLET_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"keywords":["rank tracking software","keyword rank checker","seo rank tracker"],"search_engine":"Google","country_locale":"United States (English)","devices":["desktop","mobile"],"tags":["q4-launch"]}'
```

Example response

```
{
"domain_id": "48213",
"added_keywords": 3,
"tracked_keywords_added": 6,
"search_engine": "Google",
"country_locale": "United States (English)",
"devices": [
"desktop",
"mobile"
],
"tags": [
"q4-launch"
],
"rejected": []
}
```

MCP: add https://cotlet.dev/mcp/v1 with the same key; the call is accuranker\_write → add\_keywords. Example data.

### Is it safe to connect AccuRanker to Cotlet?

Yes. You sign in to AccuRanker yourself, in your own Cloud Browser in the EU, and we never save your password. Your agents only get AccuRanker once you enable it, every background request is listed, and the browser profile is stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM, the cipher 1Password uses for its vaults. The AI model never sees a login, posts and messages wait for your OK, and Disable for agents cuts access in one click. Independent scanners grade cotlet.dev A+ on Qualys SSL Labs, securityheaders.com and Mozilla Observatory; live results are on https://cotlet.dev/security.
