# Save relevant Feedly articles to a Board with AI

> Filter new Feedly articles by your own rule and save the matches to a Board, so a research Board fills itself while you do other work.

Source: https://cotlet.dev/integrations/feedly-api-mcp-server/save-articles-to-board

Your Competitor watch Board only grows when you remember to click the star on a launch post, and the useful articles sit three feeds deep, unread, until the news is a week old.

Cotlet does it in your own Feedly account with list\_boards, list\_articles, search\_articles and save\_to\_board, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

## Can Feedly do this on its own?

Feedly has no rule that saves matching articles to a Board for you (checked 17 Oct 2026). The Zapier app has an Add Article to Board action that needs a Board ID and a URL, and a New Article in Board trigger, but it does not decide which articles qualify. The Enterprise API adds articles to Team Boards by article ID.

## How you do it in Feedly today

1. Open an article in the Feed and click the star icon at the top of the article.
2. If this is your first Board, Feedly asks you to create one; otherwise it lists your Boards and you click +Save next to the one you want.
3. To file the same article twice, repeat the star step for a second Board; one article can sit in more than one Board.
4. For a page that is not in your Feeds, open the Board, click the + option and paste the URL, add notes when loading finishes, then click Save to Board.
5. Every article needs this by hand, so a Board fills with what you happened to open, not what happened.

## How to save relevant Feedly articles to a Board with AI

Prompt

```
Go through new articles in my Competitors feed. Save every one that mentions pricing, a launch or a funding round to the Competitor watch Board, with a one-line note on why.
```

1. 01
### Find the Board first
list\_boards confirms the Board named in your prompt exists and shows whether it is personal or shared with your team. A missing Board name is reported and nothing is created.
2. 02
### Collect candidates
list\_articles pulls new articles from the Feed since the last run. For topics spread over several Feeds, search\_articles runs your keywords across all of them, and duplicates are dropped by article ID.
3. 03
### Judge each article against your rule
The agent reads the preview, and the full text from get\_article when the preview is ambiguous. "Mentions pricing, a launch or funding" must be visible in the text, and a headline guess does not count.
4. 04
### Skip what is already filed
Each article carries the Boards it is in, so one already in Competitor watch is skipped and never saved twice with a second note.
5. 05
### Save the match
save\_to\_board files the match, and the agent reports the reason it matched. Each call asks for your OK by default, because a shared Board shows the article to your team.

### What you get back

Example data

```
Competitors feed, last 24 hours: 18 new articles
Saved to Competitor watch: 4
- "Acme cuts Pro plan price by 20%" (pricing)
- "Northwind launches team workspaces" (launch)
- "Globex raises Series B" (funding)
- "Initech adds usage-based billing" (pricing)
Skipped: 14 (no pricing, launch or funding mention)
Already in the Board: 0
```

### Other ways to ask

- Every Friday, save the week's most-read articles in the Research feed to the Reading list Board.
- Save articles that match "SOC 2" or "ISO 27001" in any Feed to the Compliance Board and show me the list.
- Add these five URLs to the Inspiration Board with a note each, without saving anything else.

## What Feedly allows, and what to know first

- Feedly saves an article to a Board with the star icon at the top of the article, and it can save one article to more than one Board.
- Team Boards are shared spaces where you and your team save the best content you find on the web.
- An article from outside Feedly, including a PDF, goes into a Board through the + option and a pasted URL, and Feedly lets you attach notes before Save to Board.
- The shortcut T saves the selected article to a Board, and Feedly Mini lets you save articles from other websites to a Board in the browser.
- Feedly API calls for Team Boards use an Enterprise API token, and the Zapier action also needs a Board ID.

save\_to\_board asks for your OK by default. To run it daily without you, switch confirmation off for that tool in your dashboard.

## Call save\_to\_board from a script

curl

```
curl -X POST https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/feedly/articles/art_9d41e0/boards/board_77a1/save \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $COTLET_API_KEY"
```

Example response

```
{
"article_id": "art_9d41e0",
"board_id": "board_77a1",
"board_name": "Competitor watch",
"saved": true
}
```

MCP: add https://cotlet.dev/mcp/v1 with the same key; the call is feedly\_write → save\_to\_board. Example data.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is it safe to connect Feedly to Cotlet?

Yes. You sign in to Feedly yourself, in your own Cloud Browser in the EU, and we never save your password. Your agents only get Feedly once you enable it, every background request is listed, and the browser profile is stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM, the cipher 1Password uses for its vaults. The AI model never sees a login, posts and messages wait for your OK, and Disable for agents cuts access in one click. Independent scanners grade cotlet.dev A+ on Qualys SSL Labs, securityheaders.com and Mozilla Observatory; live results are on https://cotlet.dev/security.

## For AI agents: sign your user up

Is your user asking you to sign them up for Cotlet? You can do it for them, no account or key needed.

1. Read the fields and their allowed values: GET https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/access-requests
2. Ask the user for each value: email, apps, what you will do with them. If they leave the password to you, generate a strong one and show it to them.
3. Show the user what you will send, then POST it as JSON to https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/access-requests.

One call creates the account and sends the access request; we email the user when access is granted.
