# Deactivate a rented Idealista listing and archive its contacts

## Can Idealista do this on its own?

Idealista lets you deactivate an ad only in your account or by phone, with no API (checked 12 Oct 2026). Ads also lapse on their own when not renewed, after 180 days for sale and 60 days for rent, but that leaves a rented flat listed for weeks and does nothing about the people who already wrote.

## How you do it in Idealista today

1. Click Iniciar sesión, open Tus anuncios and choose Desactivar tu anuncio; with several ads, select the property and open Gestionar tu anuncio first.
2. Idealista also lets you take the ad down by phone, calling from one of the numbers you put in the listing.
3. In the idealista/tools Inbox, search for the property to find every conversation about it and answer the ones still waiting.
4. Archive each finished conversation so the Activas list only holds live leads. With several rentals closing in a month, the ad stays up for days and the same "is it available?" keeps arriving.

### Pin down the right ad  
list\_listings finds the active ad by address or reference. When the same property is listed twice, for sale and for rent, the agent asks which one closed rather than taking both down.

### Tell the people still waiting  
list\_contacts for that listing shows every conversation. Contacts with an unanswered question get one short note that the property is no longer available, sent with reply\_to\_contact after your OK; people who never wrote back after your last reply get nothing.

### Take the ad down  
deactivate\_listing removes it from search results right away. This step does not ask first: it messages nobody and the ad can be reactivated later.
4. 04  
### Archive, but keep open threads  
archive\_conversation clears the finished conversations. Contacts whose thread mentions another of your properties, or a visit still to come, stay in the active list and are named in the report.

Before you automate it

## What Idealista allows, and what to know first

- Idealista recommends taking an ad down (dar de baja) once the property is sold or rented, and a deactivated or expired ad can be reactivated later from the website or the idealista app.
- Idealista sale ads expire every 180 days and rental ads every 60 days unless renewed, so a rental left up after signing can keep drawing contacts for up to two months.
- An archived Idealista Inbox request can be brought back from the option at the top right of the conversation.

reply\_to\_contact asks for your OK by default. To run it on a schedule without you, switch confirmation off for that tool in your dashboard.
