# Reply to unanswered Judge.me reviews with AI

> Find Judge.me reviews with no reply and answer each one in your store's voice, in bulk, before the reviewer or the next shopper moves on.

Source: https://cotlet.dev/integrations/judge-me-api-mcp-server/reply-to-unanswered-reviews

A shopper leaves a three-star review on Monday, and by Friday nobody from the store has answered it. Judge.me drafts one reply at a time, and nothing works through the whole backlog.

Cotlet does it in your own Judge.me account with list\_reviews, get\_review and reply\_to\_review, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

## Can Judge.me do this on its own?

Judge.me's API has an endpoint for a public reply, but its reviews list does not include replies (checked 23 Oct 2026), so a script cannot tell which reviews are still unanswered. The dashboard has the Without replies filter and an AI draft per review, and Judge.me states that bulk auto-replies are not supported yet.

## How you do it in Judge.me today

1. In the Judge.me admin, open Reviews and add the filter Type > Without replies, so the list shows only reviews nobody answered.
2. Click Reply on the right of a review, choose Publicly in widgets or Privately by email at the top of the pop-up, write the message and click Send reply.
3. On the Awesome plan the pop-up opens with an AI draft; you can pick a tone (Direct, Elegant or Friendly), add instructions and click Generate Reply, one review at a time.
4. Repeat for every review in the list. The reviewer gets a notification email unless Settings > Email templates > Reply notification is set to Disabled.

## How to reply to unanswered Judge.me reviews with AI

Prompt

```
Find reviews from the last 7 days with no reply, rating 3 stars or higher. Answer each one in a friendly tone that names the product, and list the rest for me.
```

1. 01
### Find the unanswered reviews
Your agent reads the reviews with list\_reviews, has\_reply set to false and since set to your window. That is the dashboard's Without replies filter, so a review a teammate already answered never reaches the list. It follows next\_cursor until the page comes back empty.
2. 02
### Read the whole review
get\_review brings the full text, the product, the source and the verified status. A review with only stars and no text gets a short thank you or is skipped, whichever your prompt says.
3. 03
### Sort public from personal
Praise and fixable comments get a public reply. Anything with an order number, a refund or a delivery complaint goes on your list instead, so private details never appear under the review.
4. 04
### Write one reply each
The agent drafts a separate reply per review, names the product and answers what the reviewer said, instead of pasting one template. Judge.me's own AI draft handles one review at a time; here the agent drafts the whole batch.
5. 05
### Post after your OK
reply\_to\_review posts the public reply and, by default, emails the reviewer. Each call waits for your OK until you switch confirmation off for it. A public reply can be edited or deleted later in the dashboard; Cotlet has no tool for that.
6. 06
### Skip what changed
Right before posting, the agent reads the review again with get\_review. If a teammate replied in the meantime, it leaves the review alone.

### What you get back

Example data

```
Reviews from the last 7 days with no reply: 9
Replied 6, e.g. Dana K. on Trail Jacket (4 stars): thanked her and answered the sizing question
Left for you 3:
- Marcus R. (1 star): wants a refund for order #4821
- Priya S. (2 stars): package arrived late
- Tom W. (3 stars): asks about a color you no longer sell
```

### Other ways to ask

- Every Friday, reply to the 4 and 5 star reviews with a short thank you and list the rest for me.
- Draft replies to this week's negative reviews in this chat and send nothing.
- Reply only to unanswered reviews of the Trail Jacket, in the same tone as my last 5 replies.

## What Judge.me allows, and what to know first

- Public replies, private replies and editing a public reply are on the Free plan; AI replies need the Awesome plan and are capped at 500 a day.
- A public reply shows under the review in the widget with your store name as the heading; the new widget cuts it to 2 lines with a More link.
- Public replies sync to the Shop App but are not part of the Google Shopping Product Ratings feed.
- Editing a public reply sends no new notification email, and the notification goes out only once, when the reply is first created.
- A reviewer who answers the notification email reaches your custom sender email, or your admin notification email if you have none; Judge.me does not store or show that answer.

reply\_to\_review asks for your OK by default. To run it daily without you, switch confirmation off for that tool in your dashboard.

## Call reply\_to\_review from a script

curl

```
curl -X POST https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/judge-me/reviews/48210934/replies \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $COTLET_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"body":"Thanks for the kind words, Dana. The Trail Jacket runs slightly small, so sizing up for layers is a good call. Enjoy the hikes!","notify_reviewer":true}'
```

Example response

```
{
"review_id": 48210934,
"status": "replied",
"type": "public",
"notified_reviewer": true
}
```

MCP: add https://cotlet.dev/mcp/v1 with the same key; the call is judge\_me\_write → reply\_to\_review. Example data.
