## Can Klook do this on its own?

Klook has no booking API for traveler accounts (checked 12 Oct 2026). The Klook Open API is written for merchants, reservation systems and channel managers that connect products to Klook, not for booking on your own traveler account. Klook applies KlookCash only when you tick the KlookCash checkbox in the Discount section of the checkout page.

## How you do it in Klook today

1. Search Klook for the destination or attraction, then open each activity page to compare packages, the meeting point and the cancellation policy.
2. Pick a package, the participation date, the time slot and the number of adults and children on the activity page, then go to checkout.
3. Click your profile picture and select KlookCash to see the balance and the expiry date of each entry.
4. On the checkout page, open the Discount section and tick the KlookCash checkbox, then check that the discount applied before you pay.
5. The step that gets missed is the expiry check: the KlookCash breakdown in your profile lists what expires and when, and an entry that passes its date before your next checkout can no longer be spent.

### Shortlist only what matches the trip  
The agent searches for the date you gave and drops activities with a cancellation type you ruled out, so a No cancellation tour never reaches the shortlist when your flight is not yet fixed. It keeps three to five candidates and reads their packages, because the cheapest headline price often belongs to a package with a different departure point.

### Compare the packages, not just the activities  
For each candidate the agent lines up the package price for your party size, the inclusions and the cancellation window, and shows you the comparison before it picks anything. If two packages of one tour differ only by pickup station, it says so instead of counting them as two options.

### Confirm the slot still exists  
Right before booking, the agent checks the chosen package for your date. When the 08:00 slot is gone it offers the next slot on the same day or the same slot a day later, and waits for your choice instead of switching on its own.

### Decide whether KlookCash applies  
The agent reads your KlookCash entries and their expiry dates. It skips KlookCash when the balance is under 10 or the product is a Klook Pass, an e-Gift Card, Travel Insurance or a Stay+ package, and tells you which entries expire before the trip, so nothing is left to run out unnoticed.

You see the package, date, slot, travelers, KlookCash discount and the amount charged to your card in one message, and the booking goes through only after your OK. If checkout asks for extra card authentication, the agent stops and sends you the link to finish it yourself.

## What Klook allows, and what to know first

- Klook values KlookCash at 100 KlookCash = 1 USD, and checkout accepts it only when the account holds at least 10 KlookCash.
- KlookCash expires 365 days after the day it was earned, while KlookCash from campaigns such as multiplier campaigns may follow a different validity period.
- Klook pays KlookCash on a booking at 0.10% to 0.80% of the amount paid for Explorer members, 0.28% to 2.40% for Gold and 0.48% to 4% for Platinum, depending on the activity.
- Klook sends the confirmation email within 5 minutes for activities with instant confirmation; others take 24 to 48 hours, as stated under Confirmation in the package details.

book\_activity asks for your OK by default. To run it on a schedule without you, switch confirmation off for that tool in your dashboard.
