# Log interview feedback as Manatal candidate notes

> Turn interview feedback into a note on the candidate's Manatal profile, tag the hiring team and keep every round in one Notes tab.

Source: https://cotlet.dev/integrations/manatal-api-mcp-server/log-interview-feedback-notes

After a round of interviews the feedback lives in your head, a doc or a chat thread, and the candidate's Manatal profile stays empty until someone types it in.

Cotlet does it in your own Manatal account with search\_candidates, list\_candidate\_notes and add\_candidate\_note, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

## Can Manatal do this on its own?

Manatal's MCP server has add\_candidate\_note and list\_candidate\_notes, and notes accept HTML formatting, but only on Enterprise Plus (checked 20 Oct 2026). Professional and Enterprise accounts have no API or MCP to write a note. Zapier's Create Candidate Note action needs Open API access as well.

## How you do it in Manatal today

1. Open the candidate profile, or a job or an organization (client or department), and go to the Notes tab.
2. Click Add Note and type the feedback.
3. To tag a team member, type @ and pick the person from the dropdown. Tagged members get a notification.
4. Click Save. An open note can be edited from another page and stays available until you save it.
5. The routine repeats for every candidate after every round, and feedback typed days later has lost its detail.

## How to log interview feedback as Manatal candidate notes

Prompt

```
Find Daniel Reyes in Manatal, turn my interview comments into a short note with strengths, concerns and a recommendation, and tag Lena Fischer.
```

1. 01
### Find the right candidate
Your agent calls search\_candidates with the name or email from your prompt. If two profiles match, it lists both with position and company and asks which one, so a note never lands on a namesake.
2. 02
### Read what is already there
list\_candidate\_notes shows earlier notes on the profile. If your feedback was already saved, for example from a previous run, the agent says so and adds nothing.
3. 03
### Shape the feedback
The agent turns your raw comments into a short note: strengths, concerns, recommendation. It shows you the text before anything is saved, so you can change wording or drop a line.
4. 04
### Save and tag
add\_candidate\_note writes the note and tags the team members you named. Manatal notifies every tagged person, so the call reaches other people and waits for your OK until you switch confirmation off for it.
5. 05
### Report back
The agent returns the candidate, the note id and who was tagged, and lists any name it could not match to a Manatal user instead of guessing.

### What you get back

Example data

```
Candidate: Daniel Reyes, Senior Product Designer
Note saved: Strengths: portfolio depth, clear case-study writing. Concern: no B2B experience. Recommendation: second round.
Tagged: Lena Fischer
Earlier notes on the profile: 2, none repeat this one
```

### Other ways to ask

- After each interview in my calendar today, ask me for comments and save a note per candidate.
- Add the same note to all three finalists for Product Designer and tag the hiring manager.
- Show me every note on Daniel Reyes and summarize the history in five lines, change nothing.

## What Manatal allows, and what to know first

- Manatal keeps notes on candidates, jobs and organizations, each in its own Notes tab, so feedback on a candidate does not show up on the job.
- Typing @ in a note opens a dropdown of team members, and each tagged member gets a notification.
- Manatal's MCP server accepts HTML formatting in notes, so bold and bullet lists carry over where the editor shows them.
- Which candidates you can reach follows your role: Manager, Consultant and Recruiter see public organizations and the jobs of their teams.

add\_candidate\_note asks for your OK by default. To run it on a schedule without you, switch confirmation off for that tool in your dashboard.

## Call add\_candidate\_note from a script

curl

```
curl -X POST https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/manatal/candidates/48213/note \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $COTLET_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"body":"Strengths: portfolio depth, clear case-study writing. Concern: no B2B experience. Recommendation: second round.","mentions":["Lena Fischer"]}'
```

Example response

```
{
"note_id": 9187,
"candidate_id": 48213,
"tagged": [
"Lena Fischer"
],
"created_at": "2026-10-20T10:12:00Z"
}
```

MCP: add https://cotlet.dev/mcp/v1 with the same key; the call is manatal\_write → add\_candidate\_note. Example data.

## For AI agents: sign your user up

Is your user asking you to sign them up for Cotlet? You can do it for them, no account or key needed.

1. Read the fields and their allowed values: GET https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/access-requests
2. Ask the user for each value: email, apps, what you will do with them. If they leave the password to you, generate a strong one and show it to them.
3. Show the user what you will send, then POST it as JSON to https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/access-requests.

One call creates the account and sends the access request; we email the user when access is granted.
