# Re-invite past guests to a recurring Partiful event

> Partiful has no recurring events. An agent clones last month's event to the new date and invites the people who came, within the invite caps.

The book club meets every month, and Partiful has no repeat setting. Each time you clone the last event, fix the date, then open Invite, filter by the old event and Select All again.

Cotlet does it in your own Partiful account with list\_events, duplicate\_event, list\_past\_guests and invite\_guests, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

## Can Partiful do this on its own?

Partiful does not support recurring events (checked 12 Oct 2026). Its help center points hosts to Clone event and the past-event filter on the Invite screen instead. There is no API or schedule, so every new date is cloned and invited by hand.

By hand

## How you do it in Partiful today

1. On last month's event page, click the three dots near Event Settings and choose Clone event. Partiful copies the event details but not the guests.
2. Change the date and time on the copy.
3. Click Invite on the new event, tap the filter icon and pick the past event you hosted or attended.
4. Use Select All on that list and send. Partiful has no saved guest lists or groups, so an old event is the only way to reach the same circle.
5. Add new members separately under Invite > Send emails, typed in or uploaded from a spreadsheet. Someone who skipped last month is missing from the filter unless you remember them.

## How to re-invite past guests to a recurring Partiful event

Prompt

```
Copy last month's book club for November 14 at 7pm and invite the people who came.
```

1. 01
### Find the template
The agent looks through your past events for the latest one in the series. When titles change every month ("Book club: October"), it asks once which event is the model and follows that pattern on later runs.
2. 02
### Clone to the new date, once
The copy gets the start time in the event's own time zone. If an event with the same title already exists on that date, the agent stops rather than make a second copy.
3. 03
### Build the list from more than one month
The people from the last event form the core. On request the agent adds attendees of the two events before, so a member who missed one month is not dropped, and removes duplicates.
4. 04
### Check the caps before sending
The list is counted against Partiful's per-event invite limits, with new email addresses kept apart from returning guests. Over a cap, returning guests go first and the agent asks you who to leave out.
5. 05
### Invite on your OK
Nothing is sent until you confirm the final list. The agent then reports who was invited, who you left out and the link to the new event.

### What you get back

Example data

```
Book club: November, Thu 14 Nov, 7:00 pm, cloned from Book club: October.
Invited after your OK: 17 from October and 3 from September who skipped October.
New members invited by email: ana.ruiz@example.com, tom.h@example.com.
Left out as you asked: Chris Vale.
New event: partiful.com/e/bK7dR3nMexample
```

### Other ways to ask

- On the 1st of every month, set up the supper club for the last Friday at 8pm and invite everyone who came in the past three months.
- Clone the October run club social for 7 November and invite only the people who came last time, plus these two emails.
- Draft next month's game night and show me the invite list, but send nothing until I check it.

Before you automate it

## What Partiful allows, and what to know first

- Partiful caps invites sent through Partiful at 1,000 per event, with at most 200 phone contacts and 500 email invites; sharing the event link elsewhere has no limit.
- Partiful limits Mutuals you have not hosted before to 50 per event, or 150 on your first event, while people who attended one of your events count as past guests outside that limit.
- A Partiful Organization can invite all of its followers on top of the 1,000-guest invite limit.
- Guests invited by email from Partiful get a link tied to their address, but they still log in with a phone number to RSVP.

invite\_guests asks for your OK by default. To run it monthly without you, switch confirmation off for that tool in your dashboard.
