# Schedule Patreon posts for the right tiers with an AI agent

> Turn finished notes into Patreon drafts locked to the right tiers, then set the publish time after a check of what is already scheduled.

You finish the week's notes on Sunday, then rebuild each one in the Patreon post editor: title, body, audience, tiers and the Set publish date toggle. One wrong tier and paid work goes out to everyone, or to nobody who paid for it.

Cotlet does it in your own Patreon account with list\_posts, list\_tiers, create\_post, get\_post, update\_post and schedule\_post, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

## Can Patreon do this on its own?

Patreon schedules posts natively from the post editor on desktop and in the app, so the timer itself exists. What Patreon lacks is a way to create or schedule a post from outside the editor: API v2 reads posts and writes only livestreams and webhooks (checked 12 Oct 2026), and Zapier lists Patreon triggers with no actions. Every scheduled Patreon post still starts as typing in the editor.

By hand

## How you do it in Patreon today

1. Select Create in the Patreon left navigation, choose Post and add a title, which Patreon marks as required.
2. Paste the text and attach files, then open Audience in the Settings sidebar and choose Free access or Paid access with the specific tiers.
3. Toggle on Set publish date in the right-side editor and pick the date and time; Patreon reads the time zone from the device you post from.
4. Check Emails and notifications, then click Schedule at the top of the page. The post now sits at the top of Creator studio > Library with Scheduled under its date.
5. Repeat for every post of the week. Pasting from notes, picking tiers again each time and keeping the week's slots apart is the work that repeats, and the place where a tier or a time slips.

With an agent

## How to schedule Patreon posts for the right tiers with an AI agent

Prompt

```
Turn episode-12.md into a Patreon post for my Gold tier and schedule it for Friday 18:00 Berlin time. Check nothing else is scheduled that evening.
```

1. 01
### Read the week before writing
The agent calls list\_posts for scheduled posts first. If Friday 18:00 is already taken, or a post with the same title exists, it stops and asks instead of stacking a second post in that slot.
2. 02
### Map tier names to IDs
list\_tiers turns "Gold and up" into tier IDs by price. A name that matches no tier, or two of them, goes back to you as a question, because the wrong audience is the costly mistake in this job.
3. 03
### Build the draft
create\_post saves title, body and audience as a draft nobody sees yet. Images go in as links; header video, Drops and a later public release are left for you and named in the report, since you set them in the editor.
4. 04
### Check the draft against the request
get\_post reads the draft back and the agent compares tiers and title with what you asked for. A late change, such as adding Supporter, goes through update\_post before any date is set.
5. 05
### Schedule with your OK
schedule\_post gets a time with an explicit offset, so a run from a server elsewhere still lands at your 18:00\. notify\_members is turned off only when you say so, for example on a correction post.

### What you get back

Example data

```
Week of 12 Oct 2026: 3 drafts created, 2 scheduled after your OK.
"Episode 12: the full cut" for Gold and Platinum, Fri 16 Oct 18:00 CEST, members notified.
"Sketchbook pages, October" for Supporter and up, Sun 18 Oct 10:00 CEST, members notified.
"Errata for episode 11" left as a draft: you asked for no notification, confirm before it is scheduled.
Skipped: "Q&A recap" already holds Fri 16 Oct 12:00.
Finish in the editor: header video for Episode 12.
```

### Other ways to ask

- Schedule every file in drafts/october as a Patreon post for the Gold tier, one each Friday at 18:00 Berlin time.
- Before it goes out, open my scheduled post "Episode 12" and give Supporter access as well as Gold.
- Make a public teaser post from the first paragraph of episode-12.md and schedule it a week after the Gold post.
- List what is scheduled on my Patreon for the next two weeks and point out the days with no post.

Before you automate it

## What Patreon allows, and what to know first

- Patreon takes the scheduled time from the time zone of the device you post from, so 18:00 set on a laptop at home and on a phone abroad are different moments.
- Patreon lets a paid post turn public on a later date only when set on desktop or mobile web, never in the app editor, and that public date must be at least 24 hours ahead.
- Patreon Drops, which turn an audio or video post into a shared premiere, are open only to creators in the All Audiences category and cannot also be set to turn public later.
- Patreon sets tier access on each post, not on a collection, so a post filed in a members-only collection still needs its own tiers.
- Turning off Set publish date on a scheduled Patreon post and clicking Exit saves it as a draft; Publish is a separate button, so unscheduling never sends the post out by itself.

schedule\_post asks for your OK by default. To run it weekly without you, switch confirmation off for that tool in your dashboard.
