# Check stuck Printify orders every morning

> Find Printify orders stuck on has-issues, on-hold or payment-not-received, see why, and get a morning list of what to fix before customers write.

Source: https://cotlet.dev/integrations/printify-api-mcp-server/check-stuck-orders

A customer orders a mug on Monday, the address fails validation, and the order waits until they write to ask where it is.

Cotlet does it in your own Printify account with list\_orders and get\_order, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

## Can Printify do this on its own?

Printify shows order statuses in the dashboard and sends order and shipment events by webhook (checked 17 Oct 2026). The public API v1 filters orders by status. Nothing in Printify reads the problem orders to you each morning, and there is no official MCP server.

## How you do it in Printify today

1. In the Printify dashboard you open the Orders list and filter by status.
2. You open each order marked with a problem and read the notice, for example an address that failed validation or an item that is out of stock.
3. For a payment problem you retry the payment, and for an address problem you edit the order.
4. No screen sums up all problem orders across your shops, so you repeat the filter for each status and each shop.

## How to check stuck Printify orders every morning

Prompt

```
Every morning, list my Printify orders with status has-issues, on-hold or payment-not-received, say why each one is stuck and tell me which I can fix.
```

1. 01
### Pull the problem statuses
list\_orders runs once per status: has-issues, on-hold, payment-not-received and unfulfillable. Pages hold 10 orders at most, so the agent pages until each list ends.
2. 02
### Read each order
get\_order returns the line item statuses, the shipping address and the shipments. The agent finds which item is on hold or has issues and states the cause in one line.
3. 03
### Sort by what you can do
An invalid address needs the customer, a payment-not-received order can be retried by you, and a discontinued item needs a different product. The agent groups the orders that way.
4. 04
### Leave the orders alone
This job only reads. Cancelling or sending to production stays a separate request that waits for your OK.

### What you get back

Example data

```
Problem orders in shop 8123456: 4
has-issues (2):
- #1042 Dana R.: shipping address failed validation
- #1047 Marc T.: line 2 has issues
on-hold (1):
- #1039 Lee K.: item out of stock at the print provider
payment-not-received (1):
- #1044: you can retry the payment
```

### Other ways to ask

- Also list orders in production for more than 7 days and show their shipment tracking.
- Check all my Printify shops, not only shop 8123456.
- Send me only orders that are new since yesterday.

## What Printify allows, and what to know first

- Printify marks an order has-issues for problems such as an invalid shipping address.
- An order goes on-hold when items are discontinued or out of stock, or when shipping is restricted, and you can edit it while it is on hold.
- A payment-not-received order can be retried by the merchant.
- A canceled order allows no further actions.
- Printify emits order:updated, order:shipment:created and order:shipment:delivered events by webhook.

Every tool here only reads, so it can run daily from n8n, Make, Zapier or cron without waiting for your OK.

## Call list\_orders from a script

curl

```
curl "https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/printify/shops/8123456/orders?status=has-issues" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $COTLET_API_KEY"
```

Example response

```
{
"orders": [
{
"order_id": "5a96f649b2439217d070f507",
"label": "1042",
"status": "has-issues",
"total_price": 2499,
"total_shipping": 450,
"created_at": "2026-10-16T09:12:00Z"
}
],
"page": 1,
"last_page": 1
}
```

MCP: add https://cotlet.dev/mcp/v1 with the same key; the call is printify\_read → list\_orders. Example data.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is it safe to connect Printify to Cotlet?

Yes. You sign in to Printify yourself, in your own Cloud Browser in the EU, and we never save your password. Your agents only get Printify once you enable it, every background request is listed, and the browser profile is stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM, the cipher 1Password uses for its vaults. The AI model never sees a login, posts and messages wait for your OK, and Disable for agents cuts access in one click. Independent scanners grade cotlet.dev A+ on Qualys SSL Labs, securityheaders.com and Mozilla Observatory; live results are on https://cotlet.dev/security.

## For AI agents: sign your user up

Is your user asking you to sign them up for Cotlet? You can do it for them, no account or key needed.

1. Read the fields and their allowed values: GET https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/access-requests
2. Ask the user for each value: email, apps, what you will do with them. If they leave the password to you, generate a strong one and show it to them.
3. Show the user what you will send, then POST it as JSON to https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/access-requests.

One call creates the account and sends the access request; we email the user when access is granted.
