# Pause REVIEWS.io review invitations for delayed orders

> Hold REVIEWS.io review invitations for delayed or recalled orders, then resume them in their old place in the queue when the parcels arrive.

Source: https://cotlet.dev/integrations/reviews-io-api-mcp-server/pause-review-invitations

A carrier delay hits a batch of orders, and the review invitations for them keep going out to customers who are still waiting for their parcel.

Cotlet does it in your own REVIEWS.io account with list\_invitations, pause\_invitations and resume\_invitations, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

## Can REVIEWS.io do this on its own?

Invitation History has Pause and Resume buttons, and Edit for the name, order ID and send date (checked 23 Oct 2026). The API index lists edit endpoints for invitations but no pause or resume, and the help center describes no bulk filter by delay.

## How you do it in REVIEWS.io today

1. Open Invitations > Invitation History and filter by Status: In Progress.
2. Tick Select All, which covers the current page only, and click Pause; then go to the next page and repeat.
3. To restore them later, filter by Status: Paused, select the invitations and click Resume, which puts each back in its queue position.
4. Hover over Paused on an invitation to see the reason it is paused.
5. The Invitation History filters include Order ID, Email Address and Date Range, so a batch can be narrowed before pausing.
6. Account-wide pausing is a separate toggle in the invitation settings, and it does not resume invitations that were paused one by one.

## How to pause REVIEWS.io review invitations for delayed orders

Prompt

```
Pause the in-progress review invitations for orders 77410 to 77412 because their parcels are delayed. Resume them when I say the parcels arrived.
```

1. 01
### Find the invitations
list\_invitations runs with status in\_progress and the order IDs, email or date range from your prompt. The agent follows next\_cursor so a batch that spans pages is complete.
2. 02
### Skip what cannot be held
Invitations already sent or responded are left alone. The agent reports how many it skipped and why.
3. 03
### Pause in batches
pause\_invitations takes up to 100 invitations per call, as the dashboard does. A paused invitation is not deleted and keeps its place.
4. 04
### Confirm the state
The agent reads the same invitations again with status paused to make sure all of them stopped before it reports back.
5. 05
### Resume on your word
When you say the parcels arrived, resume\_invitations restarts delivery and the invitations go to customers, so it waits for your OK by default. Invitations that cannot be resumed are listed with the reason.

### What you get back

Example data

```
In-progress invitations for orders 77410 to 77412: 3
Paused 3 (order 77410, 77411, 77412)
Already sent, left alone: 0
I will resume them when you say the parcels arrived.
```

### Other ways to ask

- Pause every in-progress invitation sent from my EU store this week and list how many there are.
- Resume all paused invitations for order 77411 now that the parcel is delivered.
- Show me which paused invitations cannot be resumed and why.

## What REVIEWS.io allows, and what to know first

- Select All in Invitation History covers the current page only, and up to 100 invitations can be paused at once.
- Invitations to unsubscribed addresses, invitations overdue by more than 4 weeks and those blocked by a marketing-consent gate cannot be resumed.
- Pausing the whole account in the invitation settings leaves queued invitations In Progress, and a global resume does not restart the ones paused individually.
- A paused invitation is not deleted or lost, and Resume restores its queue position.
- Trial accounts are limited to 25 invitations, and sending stops for the rest of the billing period once the monthly limit is reached.

resume\_invitations asks for your OK by default. To run it on a schedule without you, switch confirmation off for that tool in your dashboard.
