# Reply to REVIEWS.io reviews with AI

> Answer every new REVIEWS.io review in your own tone, publicly or privately, and leave refunds and complaints for you. Runs daily.

New reviews land in the Timeline all week, the five-star ones get no answer, and the one angry review sits there until someone opens it.

Cotlet does it in your own REVIEWS.io account with list\_reviews, get\_review, generate\_reply\_draft and reply\_to\_review, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

## Can REVIEWS.io do this on its own?

REVIEWS.io's API index lists no endpoint to reply to a review (checked 23 Oct 2026). Replies happen in the Timeline. Auto Generate Reply, an AI draft, is a dashboard button on the Plus plan, and the help center describes no way to run it from code.

## How you do it in REVIEWS.io today

1. Open Timeline in the dashboard, find a review and click it.
2. Type the response at the bottom of the review and click Post Public Reply, or Private Reply.
3. On the Plus plan, Auto Generate Reply sits next to Post Public Reply and writes a draft you can edit or discard.
4. Reply notifications are switched on under Settings > Notification Settings > Review Notifications, so a reply can also start from the notification email.
5. Trustpilot reviews cannot be answered inside REVIEWS.io, so those are answered on Trustpilot.
6. Each review is opened and answered one by one, so the easy five-star reviews are the ones left without an answer.

## How to reply to REVIEWS.io reviews with AI

Prompt

```
Find reviews from the last 2 days in my REVIEWS.io Timeline that have no reply. Write a short reply for each in the tone of my earlier replies. Leave refunds and complaints for me.
```

1. 01
### Find the unanswered reviews
Your agent reads the Timeline with list\_reviews, using date\_from for your window, and follows next\_cursor to the end. It keeps the reviews whose replies list is empty.
2. 02
### Read each review in full
get\_review returns the whole text, the product, tags and any earlier replies. Reviews that came from Trustpilot are skipped, because REVIEWS.io cannot reply to them.
3. 03
### Decide what needs you
Refunds, damaged goods, legal words and any review at 2 stars or below are listed for you with a one-line reason. The agent drafts for them but does not post.
4. 04
### Write the reply
The agent copies the tone, emoji use and sign-off from the replies it finds in earlier reviews. On the Plus plan it can ask generate\_reply\_draft first and edit that draft; REVIEWS.io makes one draft per review.
5. 05
### Post it
reply\_to\_review posts one reply per review, public by default, or private when you ask for it. Each reply waits for your OK until you switch confirmation off for this tool.
6. 06
### Check before posting
Right before posting, the agent reads the review again with get\_review. If a teammate answered in the meantime, it skips the review.

### What you get back

Example data

```
Reviews from the last 2 days with no reply: 7
Replied 4, e.g. Hannah Weiss (5 stars, kettle): thanked, gave the support address
Left for you 2:
- Omar Rahim (1 star): "lid cracked on arrival", refund wording
- Priya Nair (2 stars): wrong colour sent
Skipped 1: Trustpilot review, cannot be answered in REVIEWS.io
```

### Other ways to ask

- Every morning, reply to 5-star product reviews with a thank-you and list the rest for me.
- Answer 1 and 2 star reviews with a private reply that gives our support address, and show me each before sending.
- Draft replies for this week in one list I can edit, and post nothing.

## What REVIEWS.io allows, and what to know first

- REVIEWS.io has two reply buttons, Post Public Reply and Private Reply, so a reply is either shown with the review or sent privately.
- Auto Generate Reply is available on the Plus plan, makes one draft per review and answers in the language of the review.
- REVIEWS.io models its drafts on replies you have already posted, and uses a neutral, professional tone when there are none.
- A draft is never published by itself: nothing goes out until Post Public Reply is clicked.
- The help center does not describe editing or deleting a reply after it is posted, so each reply waits for your OK by default.

reply\_to\_review asks for your OK by default. To run it daily without you, switch confirmation off for that tool in your dashboard.

## Call reply\_to\_review from a script

curl

```
curl -X POST https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/reviews-io/reviews/4831902/replies \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $COTLET_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"body":"Thank you, Hannah. Glad the kettle arrived on time. If the lid ever sticks, write to support@northwindkitchen.example and we will send a new one.","visibility":"public"}'
```

Example response

```
{
"review_id": "4831902",
"visibility": "public",
"status": "posted",
"body": "Thank you, Hannah. Glad the kettle arrived on time. If the lid ever sticks, write to support@northwindkitchen.example and we will send a new one."
}
```

MCP: add https://cotlet.dev/mcp/v1 with the same key; the call is reviews\_io\_write → reply\_to\_review. Example data.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does it need the Plus plan?

No. Replying works on any plan that lets you reply in the Timeline. Only the AI draft button, Auto Generate Reply, is Plus, and your agent can write the reply itself without it.

### Is it safe to connect REVIEWS.io to Cotlet?

Yes. You sign in to REVIEWS.io yourself, in your own Cloud Browser in the EU, and we never save your password. Your agents only get REVIEWS.io once you enable it, every background request is listed, and the browser profile is stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM, the cipher 1Password uses for its vaults. The AI model never sees a login, posts and messages wait for your OK, and Disable for agents cuts access in one click. Independent scanners grade cotlet.dev A+ on Qualys SSL Labs, securityheaders.com and Mozilla Observatory; live results are on https://cotlet.dev/security.
