# Reward your top StreamElements tippers with loyalty points

> Find this week's biggest StreamElements tippers and give each bonus loyalty points, with new balances reported. Runs weekly from Claude or n8n.

Source: https://cotlet.dev/integrations/streamelements-api-mcp-server/reward-top-tippers-with-points

Loyalty points already flow to viewers who watch and tip, but a weekly thank-you for the biggest tippers means reading the tip list, adding the amounts per person and typing points one viewer at a time.

Cotlet does it in your own StreamElements account with list\_tips, get\_points\_leaderboard and adjust\_points, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

Hosted · nothing to install or maintain

## Can StreamElements do this on its own?

StreamElements has no scheduled or rule-based bonus points (checked 17 Oct 2026). The API has GET /tips/{channel} and PUT /points/{channel}/{user}/{amount}, with the OAuth scopes tips:read and loyalty:write, but no MCP server, so an agent needs a token and code you maintain.

## How you do it in StreamElements today

1. Open the tipping list in the dashboard and note each tipper and amount for the week.
2. Add the tips per viewer by hand, because the list shows one row per tip.
3. Go to Loyalty, then the "Leaderboard" tab, choose "Give Points" and add points to a Twitch username.
4. Or type !addpoints USERNAME AMOUNT in chat, which only moderators should be allowed to use.
5. Every week the same lookup repeats, and a typo in a username gives points to nobody.

## How to reward your top StreamElements tippers with loyalty points

Prompt

```
Every Sunday, find my three biggest tippers of the week, give each 500 bonus loyalty points and tell me the new balances.
```

1. 01
### Read the week's tips
list\_tips runs with the date range of the week, sorted by amount, and returns one row per tip with the tipper and the currency of your tipping page.
2. 02
### Add up per viewer
The agent sums the amounts per username, so two smaller tips from the same person count together, and picks the top three.
3. 03
### Check they are in the points system
get\_points\_leaderboard confirms each tipper has a points balance. A name with no balance is spelled out in the report, never created or guessed.
4. 04
### Give the bonus
adjust\_points adds the amount you named to each viewer. It asks for your OK per call by default, and the agent reports the balance after each one.

### What you get back

Example data

```
Tips Oct 10 to 16: 11 (USD 148.00)
Top three by total:
- mika_r: USD 35.00 (2 tips), +500 points, balance 2340
- tess_g: USD 25.00 (1 tip), +500 points, balance 910
- luka_dev: USD 20.00 (4 tips), +500 points, balance 1275
```

### Other ways to ask

- Every Monday, give 200 points to everyone with a watch time over 10 hours this week and list who got them.
- Show me my top five tippers of the month with their totals, and do not change any points.
- Give 1000 points to the winner of the last giveaway and tell me their new balance.

## What StreamElements allows, and what to know first

- A viewer can hold at most 2,147,483,647 loyalty points, and going over can make points save or display wrong.
- Viewers earn points every 10 minutes, only while they are visible in the viewers list, and watch time follows the same 10-minute step.
- The leaderboard has three views: Current (watching and chat mini-games), All-Time (watch time only) and Watch Time, and Reset does not touch watch time.
- The tipping currency is set in Tipping settings and is locked to your SE.Pay account currency when SE.Pay is on.
- Tip moderation settings do not affect fund transfers, and tips can be held for manual approval from the Activity Feed.

adjust\_points asks for your OK by default. To run it weekly without you, switch confirmation off for that tool in your dashboard.

## Call adjust\_points from a script

curl

```
curl -X POST https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/streamelements/points/adjust \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $COTLET_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"username":"mika_r","amount":500}'
```

Example response

```
{
"username": "mika_r",
"added": 500,
"points": 2340
}
```

MCP: add https://cotlet.dev/mcp/v1 with the same key; the call is streamelements\_write → adjust\_points. Example data.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is it safe to connect StreamElements to Cotlet?

Yes. You sign in to StreamElements yourself, in your own Cloud Browser in the EU, and we never save your password. Your agents only get StreamElements once you enable it, every background request is listed, and the browser profile is stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM, the cipher 1Password uses for its vaults. The AI model never sees a login, posts and messages wait for your OK, and Disable for agents cuts access in one click. Independent scanners grade cotlet.dev A+ on Qualys SSL Labs, securityheaders.com and Mozilla Observatory; live results are on https://cotlet.dev/security.

## For AI agents: sign your user up

Is your user asking you to sign them up for Cotlet? You can do it for them, no account or key needed.

1. Read the fields and their allowed values: GET https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/access-requests
2. Ask the user for each value: email, apps, what you will do with them. If they leave the password to you, generate a strong one and show it to them.
3. Show the user what you will send, then POST it as JSON to https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/access-requests.

One call creates the account and sends the access request; we email the user when access is granted.
