# Convert Tripleseat leads to prospect events or bookings

> Work Tripleseat leads by your own rule: check the room, convert to a Prospect event or booking, turn down the rest. Runs daily, hosted.

Source: https://cotlet.dev/integrations/tripleseat-api-mcp-server/convert-leads-to-bookings

Web-form leads pile up in Tripleseat overnight, and each one needs a person to read the request, look at the calendar and click Convert this Lead before a competitor replies.

Cotlet does it in your own Tripleseat account with list\_leads, get\_lead, check\_room\_availability, convert\_lead and turn\_down\_lead, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

## Can Tripleseat do this on its own?

Tripleseat has no way to convert leads in bulk from the Leads page, and its API spec lists endpoints to create, read, search and update a lead but none to convert or turn one down (checked 17 Oct 2026). Webhooks such as CONVERT\_LEAD and LEAD\_TURNED\_DOWN only report a conversion after someone clicked. Converting many leads to contacts is a Mass-Update Request to Tripleseat Support, which can carry fees.

## How you do it in Tripleseat today

1. Open Leads in the left sidebar, set Conversion Status to Not Converted, clear the Date Range and press Clear All under Filters, because an old filter can hide new leads.
2. Open a lead and read the event description, date, guest count and contact preference to confirm the guest wants to book.
3. Open the calendar for that date and room to see whether another Tentative or Definite event already holds it.
4. Click Convert this Lead and choose an event or Convert to Booking; the lead details fill the new record, then you add the status and the event space.
5. If the lead does not fit, convert it to a Contact or Account to keep the details, or turn it down if you do not want to store the guest.

## How to convert Tripleseat leads to prospect events or bookings

Prompt

```
Go through Tripleseat leads that are not converted yet. If the date is free in the room they asked for, convert the lead to a Prospect event. Turn down anything outside our capacity and leave the rest for me with a one-line reason.
```

1. 01
### Read the whole queue
list\_leads with conversion\_status Not converted pulls every open lead and pages through the cursor, so a long weekend is judged as one batch.
2. 02
### Read each request
get\_lead gives the event description, date, times, guest count and contact preference. The agent compares them with the rule in your prompt, for example a minimum guest count or a room you do not rent for weddings.
3. 03
### Check the room first
check\_room\_availability looks at the room and date. Tentative and Definite events and blocking calendar notes count as taken; Prospect events do not, because Tripleseat lets Prospect events overlap.
4. 04
### Convert or turn down
convert\_lead creates a Prospect event with the lead details; turn\_down\_lead is used only for requests your rule clearly excludes. Both ask for your OK per call until you switch confirmation off.
5. 05
### Leave doubts open
A lead with no date, a room that is taken or an unclear request stays unconverted and is listed for you with the reason, so nothing is turned down by guesswork.

### What you get back

Example data

```
Open leads: 9
Converted to Prospect event 4:
- Okafor birthday dinner, 14 Nov, Garden Room, 28 guests
- Lindqvist team lunch, 20 Nov, Loft, 16 guests
Turned down 2 (under your 15-guest minimum for the Loft)
Left for you 3:
- Martin wedding: asks for Garden Room on 28 Nov, held by a Tentative event
- Patel anniversary: no date given
```

### Other ways to ask

- Every morning, convert leads for weekday lunches to Prospect events in the Loft and list weekend requests for me.
- Convert leads that mention a corporate account we already have as a contact to a booking, not a single event.
- Show me the open leads with the room status for each requested date, and convert nothing yet.
- Turn down leads for dates inside the next 7 days and tell me which ones.

## What Tripleseat allows, and what to know first

- Tripleseat has no mass convert on the Leads page, so every conversion is one lead and one click by hand today.
- A Prospect event is the first stage of a booking, and Prospect events can overlap other Prospect events on the calendar.
- Tripleseat sends the guest no auto-response email or notification when you convert or turn down a lead.
- Conversion Status on the Leads page has four values: Not Converted, Converted to Bookings/Events, Converted to Contacts and Turned Down.
- Tripleseat recommends keeping a lead you do not pursue as a Contact or Account, and turning it down only if you do not want to store the guest.

convert\_lead and turn\_down\_lead ask for your OK by default. To run it daily without you, switch confirmation off for those tools in your dashboard.

## For AI agents: sign your user up

Is your user asking you to sign them up for Cotlet? You can do it for them, no account or key needed.

1. Read the fields and their allowed values: GET https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/access-requests
2. Ask the user for each value: email, apps, what you will do with them. If they leave the password to you, generate a strong one and show it to them.
3. Show the user what you will send, then POST it as JSON to https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/access-requests.

One call creates the account and sends the access request; we email the user when access is granted.
