# Remove Ubersuggest tracked keywords that never rank

> Find Ubersuggest tracked keywords stuck outside the top 100 and delete them in one confirmed call to free keyword slots and fix your average position.

Source: https://cotlet.dev/integrations/ubersuggest-api-mcp-server/remove-keywords-that-never-rank

Rank Tracking fills with keywords that never entered the top 100\. They use keyword slots and pull your average position down, and removing them means ticking boxes row by row.

Cotlet does it in your own Ubersuggest account with get\_rank\_tracking and delete\_tracked\_keywords, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

## Can Ubersuggest do this on its own?

Ubersuggest has no API for deleting keywords, and its official MCP is read-only (checked 23 Oct 2026). Deleting is a manual action in Rank Tracking.

## How you do it in Ubersuggest today

1. Open Rank Tracking and pick a location in the locations drop-down, or leave All locations to see every tracked keyword.
2. Pick the timeframe, such as Last Month, and the device, then read the list for keywords marked Not Ranked.
3. Tick the checkbox in front of each keyword and click Delete.
4. Confirm the warning "Are you sure you want to delete these keywords?" with Yes.
5. Repeat per location, because the same keyword in two locations is two rows.

## How to remove Ubersuggest tracked keywords that never rank

Prompt

```
In greenleafcoffee.com for the United States, find keywords that were Not Ranked at both ends of last month and delete them from rank tracking after I confirm.
```

1. 01
### Read both ends of the period
get\_rank\_tracking returns each keyword with its position now and at the start of the timeframe you choose. A null position is Not Ranked, which Ubersuggest uses for anything outside the top 100.
2. 02
### Keep the young keywords
Rankings update weekly, so the agent leaves out keywords added within the timeframe. A keyword with a single update has no history to judge.
3. 03
### Show the list before deleting
The agent lists the candidates with the location and asks you to approve the batch. Deleting cannot be undone in Ubersuggest, so the call waits for your OK.
4. 04
### Delete per location
delete\_tracked\_keywords needs the location, so one call removes the keywords from one location only. A keyword tracked in two locations needs two calls, and the agent deletes only the one you approved.
5. 05
### Report the new count
The agent returns the deleted keywords and the new tracked count, so you see how many slots are free.

### What you get back

Example data

```
greenleafcoffee.com, United States, last month
Not Ranked at both ends: 2
Deleted: coffee subscription box uk, arabica bean wholesale
Tracked keywords now: 44 (46 before)
```

### Other ways to ask

- List keywords that dropped out of the top 100 this month, but delete nothing.
- Delete keywords that have been Not Ranked since I added them, in every location of this project.
- Every month, send me the keywords that never rank for each project and wait for my OK.

## What Ubersuggest allows, and what to know first

- Ubersuggest cannot restore a deleted keyword, and all its ranking data is lost with it.
- Not Ranked means the keyword is outside the top 100 results.
- The Average Position graph counts keywords outside the top 100 as +100, so deleting them lifts the average.
- Tracked keywords count per location, so deleting a keyword from one location frees one slot, not all.
- Rank Tracking updates weekly, so a month has only a few data points per keyword.

delete\_tracked\_keywords asks for your OK by default. To run it on a schedule without you, switch confirmation off for that tool in your dashboard.

## Call delete\_tracked\_keywords from a script

curl

```
curl -X DELETE "https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/ubersuggest/tracked-keywords?project=greenleafcoffee.com&keywords=coffee+subscription+box+uk&keywords=arabica+bean+wholesale&location=United+States" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $COTLET_API_KEY"
```

Example response

```
{
"project": "greenleafcoffee.com",
"location": "United States",
"deleted": [
"coffee subscription box uk",
"arabica bean wholesale"
],
"deleted_count": 2,
"tracked_keywords_now": 44
}
```

MCP: add https://cotlet.dev/mcp/v1 with the same key; the call is ubersuggest\_write → delete\_tracked\_keywords. Example data.

### Is it safe to connect Ubersuggest to Cotlet?

Yes. You sign in to Ubersuggest yourself, in your own Cloud Browser in the EU, and we never save your password. Your agents only get Ubersuggest once you enable it, every background request is listed, and the browser profile is stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM, the cipher 1Password uses for its vaults. The AI model never sees a login, posts and messages wait for your OK, and Disable for agents cuts access in one click.
