# Build a Uscreen course collection with week dividers and drip

> Turn uploaded Uscreen lessons into a gated course: collection, week dividers and drip days set in one run, saved unpublished for your review.

Source: https://cotlet.dev/integrations/uscreen-api-mcp-server/build-course-collection

The lessons are uploaded and processed. What is left is the slow part: adding each video to the Playlist, typing a divider for every week, dragging lessons into place and filling in a drip delay next to each one.

Cotlet does it in your own Uscreen account with list\_videos, list\_collections, get\_collection, create\_collection and set\_collection\_playlist, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

## Can Uscreen do this on its own?

The Uscreen Publisher API and the Uscreen MCP (beta) read collections but cannot create one or edit its playlist (checked 11 Oct 2026). For bulk playlist work, the Uscreen help center tells stores on Uscreen Plus plans to send Support a bulk task with the collection ID, every video ID in order, divider titles and positions, and which videos are Available for Free (checked 12 Oct 2026). That request lists no drip days, and stores on other plans build the playlist by hand.

By hand

## How you do it in Uscreen today

1. Open Content > Collections in the Uscreen admin, click Add New Collection, enter the title and description, assign at least one category and click Save Changes.
2. Scroll to the Playlist section of the collection editor, add the processed lessons one by one and drag them into the order viewers should watch.
3. Click Add Divider for every week or module, name it ("Week 1", "Module A") and drag the right lessons under it.
4. Set the collection Access to Gated, then fill in the Drip settings next to each video with the number of days before it becomes available.
5. Open Pricing and Access to choose the plans or one-time price, set Publication Status to Published and save. Every week of the course repeats the same drags and drip fields, and a lesson dropped under the wrong divider stays unnoticed until a member asks where it went.

With an agent

## How to build a Uscreen course collection with week dividers and drip

Prompt

```
Build a Mobility Basics course from my uploaded Mobility lessons: one divider per week, two lessons a week, and each week dripping 7 days after the one before.
```

1. 01
### Collect the lessons in course order
The agent searches list\_videos for the course name and sorts the matches by the lesson number in each title. A lesson that is still processing, or a number that is missing from the sequence, stops the run with a question, because a course with a hole in week 3 is worse than a course built a day later.
2. 02
### Avoid a second copy of the course
Before creating anything it looks for a collection with the same title in list\_collections. When one exists, get\_collection shows its current playlist and the agent asks whether to rebuild that one instead of adding a duplicate to the catalog.
3. 03
### Create it hidden, with a category
create\_collection gets the lessons in order plus the category you name, so the course can appear in the catalog the moment you publish it. The collection is saved unpublished, which keeps half-built courses away from members.
4. 04
### Lay out the weeks and the drip
The playlist is written as dividers and lessons, with the drip days worked out from your rule (two lessons a week, 7 days apart). If the collection Access is Free for all users, the agent writes the dividers without drip and tells you to switch Access to Gated, since Uscreen turns drip off for free collections.
5. 05
### Hand back the publish checklist
Pricing, plan access and the Published switch stay with you. The agent ends with what is left to click in Uscreen and the collection ID, so a later run can add the next block of weeks to the same course.

### What you get back

Example data

```
Mobility Basics created as collection 118204, unpublished, category Mobility.
Playlist: 4 dividers, 8 lessons, Week 1 to Week 4.
Drip: Week 1 at 0 days, Week 2 at 7, Week 3 at 14, Week 4 at 21.
Access is Gated, so drip is active.
Skipped: "Mobility 9: Shoulders" is still processing; add it next run.
Still to do in Uscreen: Pricing and Access (pick the plans), then set Publication Status to Published.
```

### Other ways to ask

- Add a Week 5 divider to Mobility Basics with the two new hip lessons, dripping 28 days after the first visit.
- Rebuild the Yoga for Runners playlist in lesson-number order, keep the dividers and remove all drip delays.
- Make a Start Here collection from the first lesson of every course, no dividers and no drip.
- Check every course collection and list lessons that sit under the wrong week divider.

Before you automate it

## What Uscreen allows, and what to know first

- Uscreen starts a drip timer when a viewer first visits the collection, not when they buy it, so a member who opens the course a month after joining starts at week one then.
- Uscreen releases dripped videos in a cycle that runs about every 2 hours once the delay has passed, so a lesson does not open at the exact minute.
- Uscreen disables drip for every playlist video when the collection Access is Free for all users; drip needs Access set to Gated.
- A Uscreen collection appears in the catalog only with at least one category and Published status, while its lessons can stay unpublished and still play inside it.
- Uscreen sets no hard cap on dividers or videos per collection, but its help center advises against more than 50 videos in one collection.

create\_collection and set\_collection\_playlist change only your own Uscreen data and reach no one else, so they run without asking first.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does Uscreen count drip days from purchase or from the first visit?

Uscreen's Collections Overview says drip timers start when a viewer first visits the collection, not at purchase. Its course guide also describes the delay as days after enrollment, so test the first release with a member account before you launch.
