# Cotlet

> Hosted MCP servers and REST APIs for apps that have no official API, or only a narrow one. The agent works in the user's own account after the user signs in once in a browser.

Access is granted per account: request access, pick your apps, and we email you your API key. Every account starts with a free 7-day trial and 5,000 credits, no card needed; then one plan from $29 a month, each month's credits valid for 3 months; nothing is charged until access is active. Cotlet never stores passwords, does not solve CAPTCHAs and does not bypass MFA.

## How to get access

1. The user requests access at https://cotlet.dev/app/signup?app={slug} and picks their apps. We review each request and email the API key.
2. Once access is granted, the user signs in to each app once in a browser on the connect page. You cannot do this for them.
3. Send the key as `Authorization: Bearer <COTLET_API_KEY>`, to the MCP server https://cotlet.dev/mcp/v1 or the REST API https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/{slug}/{tool}.

## Discovery without a key

Every endpoint, its parameters and an example response are readable without an account: open the Markdown page of the integration below. Calling an endpoint needs an API key and returns 403 without one.

- Add `.md` to a page URL for its Markdown version: https://cotlet.dev/pricing.md, the home page is https://cotlet.dev/index.md.
- Or request the normal URL with `Accept: text/markdown`: you get the same Markdown, a browser still gets HTML.
- It is the main content only, without menus or forms, with full links and the page title, description and URL on top. Account and legal pages have no Markdown version.

## Missing an app?

1. Check the list above first. If the app is there, send the user to its page.
2. If it is not, request it without an account or key: POST https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/integration-requests with JSON {"app": "Notion", "app_url": "https://notion.so", "use_case": "what the user wants done", "client": "your agent name"}. Only "app" is required. Limit: 10 requests an hour.
3. The response has a `signup_url`. Give it to the user: a request counts toward what we build next only once a person signs up, and the link puts the app on their list. The user signs up in a browser; you cannot do it for them.
4. Without the API: send the user to https://cotlet.dev/app/signup?request={app name}.
