Faire automation · runs weekly
Email Faire retailers who are late to reorder
Your Faire retailers reorder on their own rhythm: a gift shop every six weeks, a museum store twice a year. The Customers tab shows who last ordered 60+ days ago, but not who is late against their own habit or what each one should restock.
Cotlet does it in your own Faire account with list_customers, list_orders, get_order and send_campaign, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

Can Faire do this on its own?
Faire has no API for Campaigns or the customer list (checked 11 Oct 2026). In the portal, Faire offers a pre-built Last ordered 60+ days ago segment, reorder reminders among the automations in the Marketing tab, and segment promotions to win back lapsed customers (June 2026 release notes). Each of these applies one rule to every retailer. Faire does not work out each retailer's own reorder interval or write the email around the products that retailer bought, and that is the part this job adds.
By hand
How you do it in Faire today
- Open Customers in the Faire brand portal, select Filter and set the last order date under the Order history filters, or start from the pre-built Last ordered 60+ days ago segment.
- Save the filtered list as a segment so the Marketing tab can use it as a campaign audience.
- To see what each retailer bought, export orders from the Orders page as a CSV (order date, retailer shop name, products, SKU) and sort it in a spreadsheet.
- Open the Marketing tab, create an email campaign, pick the segment as the audience and write one message for everyone on it.
- One message goes to the whole segment, so a shop that restocks candles every month gets the same email as a shop that placed one holiday order a year ago.

How to email Faire retailers who are late to reorder
Prompt
Find Faire retailers who are past their usual reorder time, group them by what they last bought and draft one reorder email per group. - 01
Learn each retailer's rhythm
list_customers gives the order count and last order date per retailer. For anyone with two or more orders, the agent reads their order dates with list_orders by retailer_id and takes the typical gap between orders as that shop's cycle. One-time buyers get a single cutoff you choose, 90 days unless you say otherwise.
- 02
Decide who is actually late
A retailer is due when the last order is older than one and a half times their own cycle. Shops with an order still in New or Processing are skipped, and so is anyone this job already emailed in the current week.
- 03
Group by what they restock
get_order on each due retailer's last order returns the SKUs. Retailers are grouped by product line, so the candle buyers hear about candles and the stationery buyers about the new notebooks, each in its own draft.
- 04
Plan around the weekly cap
Faire allows 2 campaign emails a week to existing customers. The agent puts each retailer in at most one campaign per run, and when a group would push someone past the cap it moves that retailer to next week's list instead of sending.
- 05
Send only what you approve
You see each subject, body and recipient list first. send_campaign goes out per group after your OK, and the report keeps who was emailed and when, which feeds next week's skip list.
What you get back
Example data
41 retailers with 2+ orders, 7 are late against their own cycle.
Candles (4 shops): Harbor Home Store, usual gap 6 weeks, last order 2 Jul. Draft "Your fall candle restock".
Stationery (3 shops): Maple Street Books, usual gap 3 months, last order 18 May. Draft "New notebooks for the holidays".
One-time buyers past 90 days: 12. Not emailed this run, per your setting.
Skipped: Willow & Pine has an order in Processing.
2 drafts waiting for your OK. Other ways to ask
- Every Monday, list Faire retailers late to reorder and draft the emails, but send nothing without me.
- Email one-time Faire buyers whose only order is between 4 and 12 months old about our best sellers.
- Which of my top 20 Faire retailers by order count have not ordered in 3 months?
Before you automate it
What Faire allows, and what to know first
- Faire lets a brand send 2 campaign emails a week to existing customers and 1 a week to retailers who have not ordered, counted Monday to Sunday in the brand's timezone, with at most 1 campaign per retailer per day.
- Faire's automations do not count toward a brand's weekly campaign limit, but Faire also caps the total emails a retailer receives from all brands combined.
- A campaign over 10% bounces or 0.1% spam reports can get a brand's Faire email tools suspended, including campaigns, automations and Faire Direct invitation emails.
send_campaign asks for your OK by default. To run it weekly without you, switch confirmation off for that tool in your dashboard.
