Little Hotelier automation
Bulk update Little Hotelier rates with an AI agent
Setting next season's prices in Little Hotelier means one Bulk Update per price: Double weekends at one figure, Twin weekdays at another, the Family Room somewhere else. A pricing plan in a spreadsheet turns into many trips through the same form.
Cotlet does it in your own Little Hotelier account with list_room_rates, get_inventory and update_rates, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

Can Little Hotelier do this on its own?
Little Hotelier has no API for properties (checked 11 Oct 2026). Bulk Update in Front Desk > Inventory applies one set of changes to the dates, weekdays and room rates you select, and channel rate derivations add a fixed amount or percentage per channel. The help centre describes no way to load a pricing table in one go, and the Lifecycle Audit Tool does not record rate values, so it cannot tell you what a price was before a change (help centre checked 12 Oct 2026).
By hand
How you do it in Little Hotelier today
- Open My Apps > Front Desk > Inventory and click the orange Bulk Update button in the grid header.
- Under When? pick the dates, under Which days? tick only the weekdays you want, and under Which room rates? select the rates that get this price.
- Under What changes? type the new rate and click Update, then open the form again for every room rate that needs a different price.
- Leave the greyed-out derived rates alone: Little Hotelier changes them through the base rate or the channel rate's Rate config tab in My Apps > Channel Manager > Channels.
- Step back through the grid with the week arrows to check each price landed, because a rate below the property minimum does not save.
- Every extra price is another pass through the form, and once a price is overwritten the grid no longer shows what it was.
With an agent
How to bulk update Little Hotelier rates with an AI agent
Prompt
Raise the Double Room rate to 140 and the Twin to 130 for every Friday and Saturday in December, and show me what each night was before. - 01
Map the plan to room rates
The agent calls list_room_rates and matches each line of your plan ("Double weekends 140") to a room rate ID. Derived rates are kept off the edit list and named in the report with the base rate they follow.
- 02
Snapshot the current prices
get_inventory over the whole range gives the price of every night before anything changes. The agent keeps that snapshot as the before column, since Little Hotelier does not keep one.
- 03
Group nights that share a price
Nights with the same new price, room rates and weekdays go into one update_rates call, so a plan with three prices becomes three calls. Nights already at the target price are dropped.
- 04
Hold back prices that look wrong
A price below the floor you gave, or a jump bigger than you allowed, is not sent; the agent asks about it first. Little Hotelier's own minimum rate check still applies on top.
- 05
Approve, apply, verify
You approve each grouped change. Afterwards the agent reads get_inventory again, compares every night with the plan and lists any night that did not save by date.
What you get back
Example data
Plan: December weekends and Christmas week, 3 room rates
Double Room, Standard Rate: 8 Fri/Sat nights 120.00 to 140.00
Twin Room, Standard Rate: 8 Fri/Sat nights 110.00 to 130.00
Family Room, Standard Rate: 24 to 31 Dec, 8 nights 165.00 to 195.00
Not edited: Double Room, Non-refundable (derived from Standard Rate, follows it)
Checked in the grid: 24 of 24 nights at the new price Other ways to ask
- Raise every Standard Rate by 10% for the Easter weekend and show me the before and after.
- Set January weekday rates from this table: Double 95, Twin 90, Family 140.
- Make every Friday in March match that week's Saturday price for the Double Room.
- Every Monday, lower any night in the next 14 days that is still above 150 with 2 or more rooms free to 135.
Before you automate it
What Little Hotelier allows, and what to know first
- Little Hotelier checks a minimum rate in three places (Front Desk Setup > Property details, Channel Manager Property settings and Direct Booking rate settings), and a rate below it does not save.
- A Little Hotelier channel rate can only be derived from its own room rate, by an amount, a percentage or both, and derived rates show greyed out in the inventory grid.
- The Little Hotelier inventory grid shows future dates only, and the Lifecycle Audit Tool tracks which settings changed but not the rate values sent to channels.
- Little Hotelier Front Desk has a fixed 716-day update period for manual bookings, while each channel receives rate updates only inside its own update period, listed under My Apps > Channel Manager > Channels.
- When a discount is set directly on Booking.com, Little Hotelier shows the discounted price the channel sends on the reservation, not the inventory rate.
update_rates asks for your OK by default. To run it on a schedule without you, switch confirmation off for that tool in your dashboard.

Frequently asked questions
Can the agent change a derived Booking.com rate?
Not with update_rates. A derived channel rate follows its room rate by a set amount or percentage, configured under My Apps > Channel Manager > Channels > channel rate > Configure > Rate config. Change the base rate and the derived one follows.
