Give Mariana Tek complimentary credits to everyone in a class

The class ran, but not the way it should have: the power went out halfway, the sound system died, or a row of bikes broke. Mariana Tek gives complimentary credits one account at a time, so making it up to a full roster means a trip to the Credits tab for every name.

Cotlet does it in your own Mariana Tek account with get_class_roster, list_customer_credits and give_complimentary_credits, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

Official options

Can Mariana Tek do this on its own?

Mariana Tek gives complimentary credits per customer on the Credits tab and has no bulk option for a class (checked 12 Oct 2026). Bulk extension of credit package expiration goes through support, takes a form and 2 to 3 business days, and works per package, not per list of customers. A complimentary credit automation exists, but it runs in Xplor Growth: an email sends a tagged audience to a landing page where each customer redeems a discounted credit package, which does not fit a make-good for one roster tonight. When a class is cancelled from the schedule before the no-show window passes, Mariana Tek refunds the payments itself, so complimentary credits are for classes that ran. The API needs credentials from the Integrations Team.

By hand

How you do it in Mariana Tek today

  1. Open the class roster in Mariana Tek Admin and note who was checked in; those are the customers to make good.
  2. For each customer, open the account, choose the Credits tab on the left and click Give Credits.
  3. Fill in Credit Type, Quantity, Expiration of Credit (Mariana Tek defaults it to midnight local time) and Reason, then save.
  4. Go back to the roster for the next name. Mariana Tek has no class-wide Give Credits button, so the form repeats for every customer, and a skipped name only surfaces when that customer complains.

With an agent

How to give Mariana Tek complimentary credits to everyone in a class

Prompt

Sam's 6pm Ride tonight lost power after 20 minutes. Give everyone who was checked in one complimentary Class Credit, expiring in 30 days, reason "Class cut short".
  1. 01

    Decide who counts

The agent reads the roster and, by default, credits checked-in reservations only. Late cancels, no-shows, waitlist and standby are left out unless you say otherwise, because those people never sat in the class.

  2. 02

Do not pay twice for a cancelled class

If the reservations show the class as cancelled, Mariana Tek has already refunded them, unless it was cancelled after the no-show window. The agent stops and asks whether you want a goodwill credit on top before giving anything.

  3. 03

Use a credit type the class accepts

The credit type you name must be active and must cover the classes the customer will book next, or the credit sits unused. When the studio has several, such as Ride Credit and Mat Credit, the agent asks once which one fits.

  4. 04

    Skip anyone already made good

Before each grant, list_customer_credits shows whether that customer already received a complimentary credit with the same reason today. Those are skipped, so a rerun after an interruption does not give a second credit.

  5. 05

    Report the list

The agent returns who got what, who was skipped and why, and the expiry date in the studio's local time.

What you get back

Example data

Ride 45, Mon 12 Oct 18:00, Downtown Studio (Sam Ortiz), power outage.
18 checked in: each given 1 Class Credit, expiring 11 Nov 2026 at midnight local time, reason "Class cut short".
Skipped: 2 no-shows, 1 late cancel, 3 on the waitlist.
Skipped: Riley Chen already had a credit with this reason from today.
Customers see it when booking as "Complimentary Class Credit".

Other ways to ask

  • The studio was locked when Alex's 7am Barre started. Give everyone booked two credits, checked in or not.
  • The bikes in row C failed in tonight's ride. Give one credit only to the customers in spots 13 to 18.
  • Give a credit to everyone checked in for Saturday's classes at Riverside after the AC failure, expiring 31 Dec.

Before you automate it

What Mariana Tek allows, and what to know first

  • Mariana Tek gives a credit type and a quantity on the Credits tab, never a credit package.
  • Complimentary credits in Mariana Tek expire at midnight local time at the very start of the chosen date, while purchased packages expire at the exact time of purchase plus the package period.
  • A complimentary credit always carries a loss-of-credit penalty in Mariana Tek, whatever the credit type's own penalty setting, so a late cancel on it burns the credit.
  • Customers see a given credit as a payment option with "Complimentary" in front of the credit type name.
  • Giving complimentary credits needs a Mariana Tek role with the can_manage_credit_transactions permission.

give_complimentary_credits asks for your OK by default. To run it on a schedule without you, switch confirmation off for that tool in your dashboard.

Frequently asked questions

Can the agent cancel the class and refund everyone instead?

Cotlet has no tool that cancels a class. In Mariana Tek, staff cancel under Edit Class, and payments are refunded automatically as long as the no-show window has not passed; after that, no-shows, used credits and fees have to be reversed by hand.
