PeoplePerHour automation · runs daily
Find new PeoplePerHour projects that fit your skills
The Jobs page fills with projects all day, and a saved search email lists every keyword match, good or bad. Reading each brief to decide which one deserves a Proposal credit is the slow part of the morning.
Cotlet does it in your own PeoplePerHour account with search_projects and get_project, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

Can PeoplePerHour do this on its own?
PeoplePerHour has no API or webhooks for projects (checked 12 Oct 2026). Its native tool is Saved Searches: up to 10 stored searches on the Jobs page, each emailing new results instantly or as a daily summary. The email does not read the brief against your skills, compare the budget with your rate or tell you which projects are already crowded, and nothing in it can be called from a script.
By hand
How you do it in PeoplePerHour today
- Open Jobs on PeoplePerHour, type your keywords and narrow the list in Filters: Experience (Entry, Intermediate, Expert), Project Type (Urgent, With No Proposals, Pre-funded) and Price (Fixed or Per Hour).
- Sort the PeoplePerHour job results by Latest so the newest projects come first.
- Under SAVED SEARCHES on the right panel of the Jobs page, click Save, name the search and pick whether PeoplePerHour emails new results never, daily or instantly.
- Open each project from the saved search email, read the full brief, check the budget and count the proposals it already has.
- Repeat for every saved search. The emails list every keyword match, so most of the reading time goes into projects you end up skipping.

How to find new PeoplePerHour projects that fit your skills
Prompt
Every morning, check PeoplePerHour for web design projects posted since yesterday, skip anything under £200 or with more than 15 proposals, read the briefs of the rest and give me a shortlist of five with one line on why each fits. - 01
Read only what is new
The agent runs search_projects once per skill keyword, with since set to the end of its previous run, so a project judged yesterday is not judged again. Projects that matched two keywords are merged into one entry.
- 02
Cut on numbers before reading
Anything under your budget floor or above your proposal-count limit is dropped straight from the search results. A brief is opened only for what survives that first cut, which keeps the run short on busy days.
- 03
Judge the brief, not the title
For each survivor the agent opens get_project and compares deliverables, deadline and required skills with the profile summary you gave it. A "logo" project that turns out to need a full brand book is marked as a different job, not a fit.
- 04
Check the price floor and your credits
PeoplePerHour expects a proposal of at least 80% of the buyer budget. When your usual price for that scope is far above the budget, the agent labels the project a stretch. It also keeps the shortlist no longer than the Proposal credits you say you have left this month.
- 05
Rank and stop there
Fits are ranked by how closely the brief matches, with fewer competing proposals breaking ties, and returned with their links. The agent bids on nothing: sending a proposal is a separate step you start yourself.
What you get back
Example data
14 new web design projects since 07:00 yesterday. 9 dropped on budget or proposal count, 5 briefs read.
Fit: "Landing page design for a SaaS launch", £500, 4 proposals. One page in Figma, copy ready, due 1 Nov.
Fit: "Redesign Shopify product pages", £350, 2 proposals. Matches your Shopify portfolio.
Stretch: "Brand identity and website", £600, 11 proposals. Needs logo work and 8 pages.
Skipped after reading: "WordPress fix", the brief asks for custom PHP plugin work.
Credits you said are left: 6. Two fits shortlisted. Other ways to ask
- Check new Figma and Webflow projects every two hours on weekdays and message me only when one clearly fits.
- Show projects from the last 24 hours that still have fewer than five proposals, any budget.
- Every Monday, list last week's copywriting projects over £300 that I did not bid on, so I can see what I am missing.
Before you automate it
What PeoplePerHour allows, and what to know first
- PeoplePerHour gives every freelancer 15 free Proposal credits at the start of each month. Unused free credits expire at month end, while bought credits roll over.
- Since 21 March 2024 PeoplePerHour charges a credit for the first proposal on a project too. It dropped the free first bid because bots were sniping new projects with low-quality AI text.
- PeoplePerHour requires a proposal of at least 80% of the budget the buyer indicated, so a project priced well below your rate is a poor fit even when the skills match.
- PeoplePerHour allows 10 saved searches per account, and editing one from the Jobs page changes only its name and email frequency.
- The PeoplePerHour Jobs page sorts by Popularity, Latest, Ending Soon or Budget, and a saved search stores the chosen sort together with its keywords and filters.
Every tool here only reads, so it can run daily from n8n, Make, Zapier or cron without waiting for your OK.
