Answer Teachers Pay Teachers buyer questions with AI

1. Click the store icon in the upper right corner of TPT and select Q&A. The Q&A page lists questions from all your active product pages, most recent first.
2. Find the question, click Answer, type the reply and click Answer again. TPT publishes the reply on the product page for anyone to read.
3. Open the product page in a second tab to check what the resource really contains before answering, since a wrong public answer stays on the page for every later buyer.
4. For common questions, click Answer, then View & edit all, then New reply, and save the text as a Saved Reply. TPT keeps up to 20 Saved Replies per store.
5. Saved Replies only fit answers that are the same for every product. A question about one bundle's format or one resource's grade range still needs a reply written from that listing, one question at a time.

Draft answers to every unanswered question in my TPT Q&A from what each listing really contains, flag anything I have to decide myself, and post nothing until I approve.

   Collect only the open questions

   The agent calls list_buyer_questions with unanswered_only and works from the oldest open question to the newest, so the buyer who has waited longest gets a reply first. Questions on the same product are grouped, so each listing is read once.

   Read the listing behind each question

   For every product with an open question, the agent calls get_product and checks the question against the description, grades, formats and file names. An answer claims only what the listing shows: "answer keys on the last two pages" only if the description says so.

   Separate answers from decisions

   Factual questions (format, grade fit, page count, Google Slides or PDF) get a draft. Requests for a custom version, a refund or a fix to a file you have not made are not answered; the agent lists them for you. When a buyer reports missing content or a download that does not open, the agent flags it for you instead of drafting, because TPT Seller Guidelines make the seller responsible for keeping every file complete and in working condition.

   Write as the store

   Drafts are short, friendly and signed by nobody, because TPT shows every reply under the store name. They never include a link to your own website shop, since TPT Seller Guidelines forbid sending buyers to other sales channels.

   Show drafts, then post

   You see every draft next to its question. After your OK the agent calls answer_buyer_question once per approved draft. Right before posting it lists the questions again and skips any that a Virtual Assistant or you answered in the meantime.

• Teachers Pay Teachers Q&A replies are public: anyone who opens the product page sees the question and your answer.
• TPT shows every Q&A reply under the store name; a reply posted by a Virtual Assistant shows the assistant's name only to the seller.
• TPT Saved Replies hold up to 20 answers per store, shared between the seller and the store's Virtual Assistants.
• While a TPT Away Status is set, a buyer who posts a question sees a note and receives an automated email saying you may reply late.
• TPT Seller Guidelines forbid links to alternative sales channels, so a Q&A answer cannot send a buyer to your own site to buy.

answer_buyer_question asks for your OK by default. To run it daily without you, switch confirmation off for that tool in your dashboard.
