Weekly Constant Contact email report with AI

After every send you open the email's report, read the numbers off the screen and paste them into the weekly update for your boss or your client.

Cotlet does it in your own Constant Contact account with list_emails, get_email_report and list_email_contacts, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

Can Constant Contact do this on its own?

Constant Contact shows these numbers on each sent email's Reporting page and returns them through its v3 reporting endpoints (checked 22 Oct 2026). Its Receive early results option emails the first 48 hours of one send. Its official MCP server (beta) is built for transactional email, so an agent cannot read your campaign reports through it.

How you do it in Constant Contact today

  1. In the left menu, go to Channels > Emails and set the Status drop-down to Sent.
  2. Click the three dots next to an email and choose Reporting.
  3. Read Sends, Bounces, Opens, Clicks, Unsubscribes and Did not open; click a linked number to see the contacts behind it, and toggle between all and unique opens or clicks.
  4. Copy the figures by hand into a doc or a sheet, then repeat for every email sent that week.
  5. Proxy opens are shown apart and left out of the open rate, so a total copied from another screen may not match the rate on the report.

How to weekly Constant Contact email report with AI

Prompt

Every Monday, report opens, clicks, bounces and unsubscribes for each Constant Contact email sent last week, name the weakest one and list how many contacts did not open it.
  1. 01

    Find last week's sends

Your agent calls list_emails with status sent and keeps the emails whose sent_at falls in the week you named. Drafts and scheduled emails are skipped, because they have no results yet.

  2. 02

    Read each report

get_email_report runs once per email and returns sends, bounces, delivered, unique opens, unique clicks, unsubscribes and did-not-open, plus the open and click rates the way Constant Contact counts them, so the figures match the screen.

  3. 03

    Rank and flag

The agent orders the emails by open rate and flags any with unsubscribes or bounces above what your other emails in the week show. It quotes the numbers and does not guess at causes.

  4. 04

Look at who skipped the weakest one

For the lowest open rate only, list_email_contacts with type did_not_open returns the contacts who were sent the email and did not open it. The agent reports the count and a few examples, not the whole list.

  5. 05

    Write the update

The summary comes back in the format you asked for, ready to paste or post. This job only reads, so nothing in your account changes and no call waits for your OK.

What you get back

Example data

Emails sent Oct 12 to Oct 18: 3
October newsletter: 1,204 sent, 17 bounced, 34.7% opened, 8.1% clicked, 5 unsubscribed
Webinar invite: 860 sent, 9 bounced, 28.2% opened, 6.4% clicked, 2 unsubscribed
Weakest: Flash sale, 18.9% opened; 775 contacts did not open it

Other ways to ask

  • Compare this month's emails with last month's on open rate and click rate and tell me which got better.
  • Every Friday, list contacts who unsubscribed from any email this week and the email they left from.
  • Report only the Webinar series: opens, clicks and the link with the most clicks.

What Constant Contact allows, and what to know first

  • Constant Contact works out the open rate as unique opens divided by sends minus bounces, times 100, and the click rate the same way with unique clicks.
  • Proxy opens, which Constant Contact cannot confirm came from a person, are counted apart and left out of the open rate.
  • A resend to non-openers and an A/B test get their own results, apart from the main email's report.
  • When bot click filtering is on, the report shows a Bot clicks removed figure.
  • Constant Contact lets an Account Manager view reporting, so a Manager login is enough for this job.

Every tool here only reads, so it can run weekly from n8n, Make, Zapier or cron without waiting for your OK.
