Feedly automation
Find and follow new Feedly sources with AI
You start tracking a new topic and spend an evening in Follow Sources, searching, comparing follower counts and adding sources one by one into a Feed you have to create first.
Cotlet does it in your own Feedly account with list_feeds, search_sources and follow_source, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.
Hosted · nothing to install or maintain
Can Feedly do this on its own?
Feedly offers search in Follow Sources and nothing that follows sources for you (checked 17 Oct 2026). The Zapier app has a Subscribe to Feed action that needs a feed ID you already know and does not discover sources. The endpoint reference of the Enterprise API lists no follow endpoint.
How you do it in Feedly today
- Go to Follow Sources and search for a topic or a source you know and trust.
- Sort the results with the right arrow next to Sorting By: Best Match, by followers, articles per week or Relevance.
- Click Follow on a source and, in the prompt, select the Feed to add it to or create a new Feed.
- Repeat for each source and keep adding to the same Feed or set up more Feeds.
- Sources you already follow look the same as new ones in a long list, so duplicates and abandoned blogs get past you.
How to find and follow new Feedly sources with AI
Find the ten best sources about product analytics by number of articles per week, skip any I already follow, follow them into a new Feed called Product analytics, and tell me what you added. - 01
Learn what you follow
list_feeds returns every Feed with its sources first. A source already followed in any Feed is dropped from the shortlist, so you never end up with the same site in two Feeds.
- 02
Search and rank
search_sources runs your topic with the sort order your prompt names. The agent drops sources with no recent posts, because a high follower count on a dead blog helps nobody.
- 03
Choose the target Feed
If the Feed in your prompt exists, sources go there. If it does not, the first follow_source call creates it with the name you gave, and the rest reuse it.
- 04
Follow the shortlist
follow_source runs once per source with the Feed set, and a source that Feedly refuses is logged with the reason instead of stopping the run.
- 05
Report what changed
The agent returns the sources added, the ones skipped as already followed and the ones refused, so you can undo any of it with unfollow_source.
What you get back
Topic: product analytics, sorted by articles per week
Feed created: Product analytics
Followed 8:
- Example Analytics Weekly (14 articles per week)
- Funnel Notes (9 articles per week)
Skipped 2: already followed (Growth Letters, Metrics Daily)
Refused 0 Other ways to ask
- Find sources about accessibility in e-commerce, sorted by followers, and show me the top 15 without following any.
- Every month, look for new sources on my AI news topic and add the three with the most articles per week to AI news.
- Move the sources I follow about design from General to the Design Feed.
What Feedly allows, and what to know first
- Follow Sources can sort the results by Best Match, followers, articles per week or Relevance.
- Personal Feeds and Team Feeds both exist in Feedly, and Team Feeds are only available to Enterprise users.
- When you follow a source, Feedly asks for the Feed to add it to or lets you create a new Feed in the same step.
- The Organize page at feedly.com/i/organize/my handles unfollowing and rearranging sources in batches.
- An OPML import adds sources to your account without removing existing ones, and it does not bring in Boards or Read Later articles.
follow_source changes only your own Feedly data and reach no one else, so it runs without asking first.

Yes. You sign in to Feedly yourself, in your own Cloud Browser in the EU, and we never save your password. Your agents only get Feedly once you enable it, every background request is listed, and the browser profile is stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM, the cipher 1Password uses for its vaults. The AI model never sees a login, posts and messages wait for your OK, and Disable for agents cuts access in one click.
