Judge.me automation · runs daily
Moderate pending Judge.me reviews automatically
Reviews that miss your auto-publish rules wait in the To Curate list, and Judge.me publishes them anyway after 14 days if nobody decides. Someone has to open that list before the clock runs out.
Cotlet does it in your own Judge.me account with get_publishing_settings, list_reviews, publish_review and hide_review, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

Can Judge.me do this on its own?
Judge.me's API can publish or hide a review by setting it to ok or spam, but it has no field for the hide reason (checked 23 Oct 2026). Auto-publish rules cannot hide anything: pending reviews are never hidden automatically, and Judge.me publishes the ones nobody moderated after 14 days.
How you do it in Judge.me today
- In the Judge.me admin, open Reviews and filter Status > To Curate to see the reviews waiting for a decision.
- To publish a review, open the status dropdown on its right. To hide it, open the same dropdown and pick a reason: Fake, Duplicated review, Spam, Unrelated to the product, Legal reasons, Inappropriate language, Foreign language, Contains private information or Other.
- To handle several at once, tick their checkboxes, click Hide reviews and choose one reason for all of them.
- The rules that decide which reviews end up in To Curate live in Settings > Publishing and moderation > Auto-publish criteria: a minimum star rating, sentiment, verified reviews only, and photos or video.
How to moderate pending Judge.me reviews automatically
Go through reviews waiting to be curated. Publish the genuine ones, hide spam and reviews with personal information, and leave verified reviews and doubtful ones for me. - 01
Read your rules
get_publishing_settings returns the minimum rating and the sentiment, verification and media rules of the shop, so the agent knows why each review is waiting.
- 02
List what is waiting
list_reviews with status to_curate follows next_cursor to the end. The agent notes the age of each review, because 14 days after it arrived Judge.me publishes it on its own.
- 03
Judge each review
The agent reads the text against your rule: the same text under several products, a link instead of a review, profanity, an email address or phone number in the body. It quotes what it relied on.
- 04
Publish or hide with a reason
publish_review publishes the genuine ones. hide_review hides the rest with one of the nine reasons, for example spam for a link farm or private_information for a phone number. Neither reaches the reviewer and either is undone with one call, so they do not wait for your OK.
- 05
Keep verified reviews for you
A verified review or a review that came from the Shop app is never hidden by the agent, only listed for you with the days left before it goes live.
What you get back
Reviews waiting to be curated: 14
Published 9 (real text about the product)
Hidden 3: 2 as spam (same promo link), 1 as private_information (phone number in the text)
Left for you 2:
- Chris L. (1 star, verified buyer): live in 3 days
- Anya P.: text in Portuguese, live in 9 days Other ways to ask
- Every morning, publish pending reviews with 4 or 5 stars and photos and list everything else for me.
- Only show me the pending reviews that will go live within 3 days, sorted by that deadline.
- Hide pending reviews that are not in English and tell me how many there were.
What Judge.me allows, and what to know first
- Reviews that do not meet the auto-publish criteria become Pending (To Curate) and stay off the store; after 14 days Judge.me publishes the ones nobody moderated.
- Hidden reviews stay in the Reviews dashboard but stop counting toward the average rating and the review count.
- A review marked "via Shop app" was syndicated from the Shop App and cannot be hidden.
- Hiding or archiving a verified review may lower your Transparency level.
- After you hide a review, it can take up to 5 minutes to disappear from the storefront; only imported reviews can be deleted for good.
publish_review and hide_review change only your own Judge.me data and reach no one else, so they run without asking first.

Frequently asked questions
Can the agent hide a review just because it is negative?
It can, but Judge.me's hide reasons are for fake, duplicate, spam, off-topic, legal, language or privacy problems, and hiding verified reviews may lower your Transparency level. The prompt above leaves negative genuine reviews published.
