Mashvisor automation · runs weekly
Run a weekly Mashvisor deal scan with your saved filter presets
Your Mashvisor preset holds the buy box: price cap, bedrooms, property type, a minimum cap rate. Every Monday you still open Map Property Finder, type each neighborhood, pick the preset from the dropdown and scroll the list to spot what is new since last week.
Cotlet does it in your own Mashvisor account with list_filter_presets, run_filter_preset, list_saved_homes, save_home and export_neighborhood_data, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

Can Mashvisor do this on its own?
Mashvisor itself saves filter presets in Map Property Finder and sends Property Alerts by email daily, weekly or monthly, but only when at least one property matches (checked 12 Oct 2026). Alerts are set up separately under Find & Invest > Property Alerts, in a form with its own fields (location, property type, beds and baths, price range, financing, minimum cash on cash return and cap rate), so a preset saved in Map Property Finder does not turn into an alert. Neither feature compares results with your Saved Homes. The Data API, sold separately from $129 a month, has search endpoints but cannot read your presets.
By hand
How you do it in Mashvisor today
- Go to Map Property Finder and type a city or neighborhood in the search box at the top of the page.
- Click the arrow next to All Properties in the upper-right corner and pick your saved preset; switch the left panel between the Investment, Airbnb Comps and Rental Comps tabs as needed.
- Click Table to sort the listings by price, cap rate, beds or baths, size or date listed, then open each promising property to read its Property Analytics page.
- Click Export and choose Export Filtered View when you want the list in Excel; Mashvisor only exports a neighborhood search, so each neighborhood is its own file.
- Repeat for the next neighborhood. The preset returns every listing that matches, so homes you reviewed last Monday come back alongside the new ones and a fresh listing is easy to scroll past.

How to run a weekly Mashvisor deal scan with your saved filter presets
Prompt
Every Monday, run my "Tampa STR under 400k" preset in Ybor City and Seminole Heights, skip anything already in my Saved Homes, and list the 5 best new listings by Airbnb cash on cash return. - 01
Resolve the preset by name
The agent looks up the preset you named in list_filter_presets. If two presets have similar names ("Tampa STR" and "Tampa STR old"), it asks which one before running anything, because a wrong buy box makes the whole scan useless.
- 02
Run it once per neighborhood
run_filter_preset goes through each neighborhood you listed on the Investment tab. A neighborhood with zero matches is reported as zero, not silently dropped, so you can tell a quiet market from a typo in the location.
- 03
Remove what you have already seen
Before ranking, the agent reads list_saved_homes and drops any listing whose property_id is already there, so a home you saved in March does not come back as a find every Monday. Listings you rejected but never saved can return; tell the agent to save or skip them and the next scan stays short.
- 04
Rank by the strategy you buy for
Listings are sorted by Airbnb or traditional cash on cash return, whichever the prompt names. Mashvisor's figures assume default expenses, so the agent flags results where the return depends on a high occupancy rate rather than presenting them as safe.
- 05
Save or export only on request
save_home adds the picks you approve to Saved Homes. An Excel file via export_neighborhood_data is made only when you ask for it, because each one counts against your plan's monthly exports.
What you get back
Example data
Preset "Tampa STR under 400k", run 12 Oct 2026, Investment tab.
Ybor City: 11 matches, 3 already in Saved Homes, 8 left to rank.
Seminole Heights: 0 matches; check the spelling or widen the preset.
1. 910 E 8th Ave: $389,000, Airbnb cash on cash 10.8%, cap rate 8.1%, listed 4 days ago.
2. 2204 N 15th St: $329,000, Airbnb cash on cash 10.2%, cap rate 7.9%.
Both saved to Saved Homes after your OK. No Excel export used this week. Other ways to ask
- Run all my presets in Cleveland once a month and send me only listings with a cap rate above 8%.
- Export the Airbnb Comps tab of Ybor City to Excel with my "Tampa STR under 400k" preset applied.
- Compare what my preset finds this week with my Property Alerts for Tampa and tell me which alert is too loose.
- Run the "Cleveland cash flow" preset on the Rental Comps tab and give me the median rent for 3-bedroom homes.
Before you automate it
What Mashvisor allows, and what to know first
- Mashvisor saves a preset with Save Filters in Map Property Finder, and deleting one from the preset dropdown happens without a confirmation prompt.
- Mashvisor's neighborhood export does not work on a city-level search, and Export All Data ignores your filters while Export Filtered View keeps them.
- The Mashvisor Lite plan does not include Property Finder, multi-family search or Exporting Neighborhood Data.
- Mashvisor Property Alerts are refreshed with listings updated nightly and email you only when at least one property matches.
save_home changes only your own Mashvisor data and reach no one else, so it runs without asking first.
