Book the cheapest Omio train or bus ticket with AI

1. Enter the departure and arrival places, the date and the passengers on omio.com or in the Omio app, and select a rail discount card for each passenger who holds one.
2. Compare the train, bus and flight results Omio shows for the route and note the departures that fit your time window.
3. Open each candidate to read its fare options, because one Omio result can carry several fares with different change and refund conditions.
4. At Omio checkout, enter each traveler, pick a seat where the travel company offers seat choice, and decide whether to add Omio Flex or travel insurance through XCover.
5. Review the total with ticket price, service fee and booking rate, then pay. The repeated work is the fare check: picking the restricted fare by mistake only shows up weeks later, when plans change.

   search_trips runs once for the route and date with all modes, then the agent drops departures before your earliest time or arrivals after your latest. Buses stay in unless you said train only, since a bus can be the cheapest option that still meets your rules.

   One search result can carry several fares, each with its own change and refund conditions. The agent opens the cheapest few results with get_trip and keeps only fares that match your rule: refundable, exchangeable, or a saver fare you accept with Omio Flex.

   Weigh Omio Flex against a refundable fare

   When a saver fare plus Omio Flex costs less than the refundable fare, the agent puts both side by side with what each would return on cancellation. Omio Flex pays back 80% of the ticket price, and the Flex fee itself stays with Omio.

   Fill travelers without guessing

   The agent adds one passenger entry per traveler. Where the ticket is issued in a name that must match ID, as on Eurostar, SNCF or for the Deutsche Bahn lead passenger, it asks for the exact spelling instead of inventing one.

   Before book_trip runs, the agent shows fare, service fee and booking rate as one total and waits for your OK. If checkout returns an error, it checks Your Bookings with list_bookings before trying again, because Omio says a booking can still go through after a booking error message.

• Omio can charge both a service fee and a booking rate on one booking, and Omio lists each one before you accept the payment.
• Omio Flex returns 80% of the ticket price for any reason up to two hours before departure and covers everyone on the booking, but the Flex fee is not refunded.
• Ticket prices on Omio are set by the travel companies and update in real time, so the price can change between search and payment; Omio notifies you before taking the money.
• Omio applies a rail discount card only when it is selected for that passenger before the booking is completed.
