Launch a Postscript VIP keyword campaign
A VIP drop in Postscript needs three things in three places: a keyword, a segment of the people who texted it and a campaign flow to that segment.
Cotlet does it in your own Postscript account with list_keywords, create_keyword, create_segment, create_campaign and schedule_campaign, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

Can Postscript do this on its own?
Postscript documents this as three manual steps (checked 23 Oct 2026). The API reference lists no keyword, segment or campaign endpoint, and the official MCP server is read-only.
How you do it in Postscript today
- Open Acquisition > Keywords > Create Keyword and name it, for example VIPACCESS. Subscribers see the name.
- Optionally turn on Include coupon in reply and enter a percent or dollar amount. Without a coupon, use + Add Action under Actions to add a reply.
- Click Save Keyword.
- Open Messaging > Segments > Create Segment, pick the Keywords Triggered criterion with your keyword, and click Save Segment.
- Open Messaging > Create Campaign > Create Campaign Flow, choose Create a new campaign, pick the segment in the Send to subscribers in dropdown and build the flow.
How to launch a Postscript VIP keyword campaign
Create the keyword VIPACCESS with a 15% coupon reply, a segment of everyone who texted it, and a draft campaign to that segment. Do not schedule anything yet. - 01
Check the name is free
list_keywords reads Acquisition > Keywords. If VIPACCESS exists, the agent stops and asks, because a second keyword with the same word would confuse what subscribers text.
- 02
Stop at the plan limit
Postscript allows two keywords on lower plans. When the list already holds two and Postscript refuses a third, create_keyword returns Postscript's message and the agent reports it instead of retrying.
- 03
Create the keyword
create_keyword saves the name, the reply text and the coupon. The reply goes to every person who texts the word, so the call waits for your OK.
- 04
Segment the opt-ins
create_segment saves one Keywords Triggered criterion for that keyword, so the segment fills as people text it. Its size is 0 at first, and the agent says so.
- 05
Draft the campaign
create_campaign saves a draft to the segment and sends nothing. The agent leaves scheduling for a later run, once the segment has people in it.
What you get back
Keyword VIPACCESS created, reply with a 15% coupon
Segment "VIPACCESS opt-ins" saved, size 0 for now
Draft "VIP drop" saved to that segment
Nothing scheduled Other ways to ask
- Add a second keyword, VIPDEAL, and include its segment in the same draft.
- Each Monday, report how many people joined the VIP segment and schedule the campaign once it passes 200.
- Create the keyword with a reply and no coupon.
What Postscript allows, and what to know first
- A keyword is a word or phrase people text to your toll-free number or short code to opt in to SMS marketing.
- A brand needs the Growth, Professional or Enterprise plan to have more than two keywords.
- Postscript adds a subscriber who triggers a keyword to the SMS list and sends the keyword reply after opt-in.
- Postscript's TCPA guidance requires opt-in language that covers recurring marketing messages and says consent is not a condition of purchase.
create_keyword and schedule_campaign ask for your OK by default. To run it weekly without you, switch confirmation off for those tools in your dashboard.
