Ubersuggest automation
Add keywords to Ubersuggest rank tracking in bulk
A keyword research session ends with a spreadsheet, and every row still has to get into Rank Tracking with the right location before the next weekly update.
Cotlet does it in your own Ubersuggest account with list_projects, add_tracked_keywords and get_rank_tracking, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

Can Ubersuggest do this on its own?
Ubersuggest has no API and no webhook for adding keywords, and its official MCP is read-only (checked 23 Oct 2026). The help center describes four manual ways: typing, suggestions, copy and paste, and a CSV import.
How you do it in Ubersuggest today
- Open Rank Tracking in the left menu of the project and click Add Keywords, or the + icon.
- Type the keywords and press Enter after each one, pick from the suggestions in the Add Keywords to Rank Tracking box, paste them under the COPY/PASTE tab, or choose Import from CSV, click Upload and then Start.
- Select the location in the same box. A keyword added without a location is tracked in all the available locations.
- If the location is missing, click the world icon (All Locations) and then +Add New Location.
- Wait for the next weekly update: a new keyword can show no data until then, and Not Ranked means it sits outside the top 100.
How to add keywords to Ubersuggest rank tracking in bulk
Add these 40 keywords from keywords.csv to rank tracking for greenleafcoffee.com in the United States, and tell me how many keyword slots that uses. - 01
Find the project
list_projects returns each project with its domain, locations and tracked keyword count. The agent picks the project by domain and notes the count before it adds anything, so it can report the change afterwards.
- 02
Count the slots first
Ubersuggest counts one keyword in two locations as two keywords. The agent multiplies keywords by locations, and if you gave a limit in your prompt it stops and asks before going over it.
- 03
Add them in one call
add_tracked_keywords adds the whole list for the one location you name. It never leaves the location out, because Ubersuggest would then track the keyword in all the available locations and use a slot for each. The call reaches nobody and delete_tracked_keywords undoes it, so it does not wait for your OK.
- 04
Read the first data a week later
The agent does not expect rankings now. On the next run it reads get_rank_tracking and lists which new keywords have a position, and which are still Not Ranked.
What you get back
Added 4 keywords to greenleafcoffee.com, United States
Slots used: 4 (42 tracked before, 46 now)
First ranking data: next weekly update Other ways to ask
- Add every keyword in this Keyword List to rank tracking for the United States and Canada, and say how many slots that takes.
- Every Monday, add the new keywords from my content calendar to rank tracking and list the ones from last week that still have no position.
- Add these keywords for Austin, Texas only, and tell me if the city is not available for tracking.
What Ubersuggest allows, and what to know first
- Ubersuggest counts a keyword added in two locations as two keywords, so "digital marketing" tracked in the United States and Australia uses two slots.
- A keyword added without a location is tracked for all the available locations, and each location counts against the keyword limit.
- Import from CSV accepts the Ubersuggest template or any spreadsheet with a column titled "Keywords".
- Rank Tracking updates weekly, so a keyword added today can show no data until the next scheduled update.
- Ubersuggest tracks rankings at country and city level, but not every city is available, and the supported list keeps changing.
add_tracked_keywords changes only your own Ubersuggest data and reach no one else, so it runs without asking first.
