WorkRamp automation
Extend WorkRamp due dates for a group
The compliance deadline moves, and the due date sits on each learner row of the assignments table, so a group of forty means forty edits.
Cotlet does it in your own WorkRamp account with list_trainings, list_assignments and change_due_date, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.
Hosted · nothing to install or maintain
Can WorkRamp do this on its own?
WorkRamp's API reference lists an Update Assignment endpoint for guides and paths, but the API is private and needs an enterprise account (checked 22 Oct 2026). In the Admin Console the due date is changed per learner. There is no bulk change in the help center.
How you do it in WorkRamp today
- An admin opens the training from Content and finds the assignments table on its overview page.
- The admin clicks the drop-down arrow next to a learner row and changes the due date for that one learner.
- Status and +Add Filter narrow the table to one group and the open assignments, but the due date is still edited row by row.
- Scheduled assignments are listed under the 3-dot menu > Scheduled Assignments, where the admin can edit or delete them.
How to extend WorkRamp due dates for a group
Move the due date of Security Awareness 2026 to 30 November for everyone in the Support group who has not finished it. - 01
Find the assignments
list_assignments reads the training with status and group filters and follows next_cursor, so every open assignment of the group is in the batch. Learners who finished are left out, because a new date on a done assignment changes nothing for them.
- 02
Check the new date
The agent compares the date you gave with each current due date and skips learners whose date is already later, so nobody gets an earlier deadline by mistake.
- 03
Change in one call
change_due_date takes the learner IDs and the new date and edits them in a single call. It reaches nobody directly and is undone with another call, so it does not wait for your OK.
- 04
Reminders follow
WorkRamp sends due date and overdue reminders from the date on the assignment, so learners get the next one on the new schedule. The agent reports the first date it will fire.
What you get back
Security Awareness 2026, Support group: 6 open assignments
Due date moved to 30 Nov 2026 for 5
Skipped 1: Maria Silva, already due 15 Dec 2026 Other ways to ask
- Add 14 days to the due date of everyone in Onboarding who has not started the path.
- Push the due date to the end of the quarter for learners on leave, and list who they are.
- Show me which assignments in Support are due this week, but change nothing.
What WorkRamp allows, and what to know first
- A due date is optional for WorkRamp guides, SCORM courses and paths, so an assignment without one gets no due date or overdue reminders.
- WorkRamp changes a due date after assigning from the drop-down arrow next to each user in the assignments table.
- WorkRamp applies the account-level reminder settings to every assignment that has a due date.
- A guide inside a path cannot be changed or unassigned on its own, so the due date lives on the path assignment.
change_due_date changes only your own WorkRamp data and reach no one else, so it runs without asking first.

Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to connect WorkRamp to Cotlet?
Yes. You sign in to WorkRamp yourself, in your own Cloud Browser in the EU, and we never save your password. Your agents only get WorkRamp once you enable it, every background request is listed, and the browser profile is stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM, the cipher 1Password uses for its vaults. The AI model never sees a login, posts and messages wait for your OK, and Disable for agents cuts access in one click. Independent scanners grade cotlet.dev A+ on Qualys SSL Labs, securityheaders.com and Mozilla Observatory; live results are on https://cotlet.dev/security.
