Save a URL
Save a web page to your reading list, optionally into a folder, with tags.
MCP tool instapaper_write → save_bookmark
write
Saves the URL as a new article, in Home or straight into a folder or the archive. Tags you pass are created if they do not exist. Without a title, Instapaper looks the title up, which makes the call slower. Reaches no one and is undone with one move_bookmark or delete_bookmark call, so it runs without asking. Returns the new article.
Parameters
| Name | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| url string required | string | The page to save. |
| title string | string | Title to show. If left out, it is looked up. |
| folder_id integer | integer | Folder ID from list_folders. Default: Home. |
| archived boolean | boolean | Save straight to the Archive. Default: false. |
| tags string[] | string[] | Tag names to apply. New names are created. |
