Partiful automation · runs weekly
Export Partiful RSVPs and questionnaire answers to Google Sheets
Your supper club keeps a members sheet, but new people RSVP in Partiful and their allergies sit in the Guest Questionnaire. Before each dinner you tap Export CSV, open the file and copy the new rows across by hand.
Cotlet does it in your own Partiful account with list_events, export_guest_list and list_guests, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

Can Partiful do this on its own?
Partiful offers the EXPORT CSV button on the Guest List and View Responses in the questionnaire settings, both manual (checked 12 Oct 2026). Partiful documents no API, webhook, Zapier or Make connection and no scheduled export, so a sheet is only as fresh as the last file someone downloaded.
By hand
How you do it in Partiful today
- Open the event in Partiful, go to the Guest List and tap EXPORT CSV in the top right corner.
- Choose which RSVP types the file should hold, for example Going only, and download it.
- For a quick look without a file, open the Guest Questionnaire settings and tap View Responses to read the answers guest by guest.
- Open the CSV, find the people who are not in the members sheet yet and paste their rows with RSVP and answers.
- Repeat for every event. Partiful names are often just a first name, so deciding which "Sam" in the sheet a new row belongs to is guesswork.
With an agent
How to export Partiful RSVPs and questionnaire answers to Google Sheets
Prompt
Export everyone who is Going to my supper club and add the new people, with their dietary answers, to the members Google Sheet. - 01
Choose events and statuses
The agent takes the events you mean from list_events, past ones too when you ask for a whole season, and requests the export for the statuses the sheet tracks: Going for attendance, Waitlist when you measure demand. Can't Go stays out unless you ask.
- 02
Match people already in the sheet
Each guest is compared with the sheet by the full name from the questionnaire first, then by the Partiful name. A bare first name with two possible matches is never merged; it goes on a list for you.
- 03
Append, never overwrite
New people become new rows and known people get the event added to their history. Cells you edited by hand stay untouched, and someone who switched to Can't Go is updated, not deleted.
- 04
Sum up the answers when you need them
For a dinner or a catering order, the agent reads list_guests for Going guests and groups free-text answers: "vegetarian", "veggie" and "no meat" become one line, while anything that sounds like an allergy is listed with the person's name.
- 05
Count the blanks
Guests who RSVP'd before a question existed have no answer to it, and phone numbers are never in the data. The agent reports both, so you know whom to ask directly.
What you get back
Example data
Supper club, October: 31 Going exported.
Members sheet: 6 new rows, 23 members updated with the October dinner.
Not merged: "Sam" fits Sam Ortiz and Sam Lee, tell me which.
Dietary answers (Going): 5 vegetarian, 2 vegan, 1 gluten-free.
Allergies by name: Leo Park (peanuts), Ines Duarte (shellfish).
4 guests have no answer: they RSVP'd before the question was added. Other ways to ask
- Every Monday, add the new Going guests from all my Partiful events of the past week to the members sheet.
- Who is going to Friday's dinner, and what dietary restrictions did they put in the questionnaire?
- Export the waitlist of the launch party so I can see how many people we turned away.
- After the meetup, mark in the sheet who actually checked in and who only said Going.
Before you automate it
What Partiful allows, and what to know first
- Partiful names are often only first names, and Partiful itself tells hosts to ask for full names in the Guest Questionnaire when an event needs them.
- Partiful does not show hosts their guests' phone numbers under its Privacy Policy, so a phone number reaches your sheet only if your Guest Questionnaire asked for it.
- Guest Questionnaire answers in Partiful are visible only to hosts, and guests who RSVP'd before a question was added must RSVP again to answer it.
- Partiful questionnaire questions are Short Answer, Dropdown or a request for socials, so free-text answers such as allergies need grouping before they add up.
Every tool here only reads, so it can run weekly from n8n, Make, Zapier or cron without waiting for your OK.
