Quora automation
Answer Quora questions from your own blog posts
You wrote the definitive post on a topic, and Quora keeps asking the same question in five wordings. A pasted post or a bare link gets collapsed, and rewriting it for each question by hand takes longer than the post did.
Cotlet does it in your own Quora account with get_question, list_my_answers and post_answer, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

Can Quora do this on its own?
Quora has no API for writing answers (checked 12 Oct 2026). Answers are written only in the answer editor on the site or in the apps. Quora offers nothing that adapts one article to several questions, and its spam rules make that adaptation mandatory.
By hand
How you do it in Quora today
- Open the question page on Quora and click Answer under the question to open the answer editor.
- Rewrite the relevant part of your article for this exact question, because Quora wants the gist of an answer readable without leaving Quora.
- Click Edit Credential under your name in the answer editor to choose the credential that fits, and state any affiliation with a product or company you mention.
- When you republish your own article, cite the original publication at the end of the answer, then publish.
- Fix mistakes later from the three-dots menu under the answer with Edit Answer. Each new question needs its own version, since pasting one answer under several questions is what Quora counts as spam.

How to answer Quora questions from your own blog posts
Prompt
Turn my post "How I track freelance expenses" into an answer for this Quora question, cite the original at the end, show me the draft, then post it. - 01
Read the question before the article
get_question pulls the question and its leading answers. The agent notes what they already cover, so the draft opens with the part of your article they miss instead of restating them.
- 02
Stop if you already answered
Your earlier answers from list_my_answers are matched against the question URL. A match stops the run and shows you the old answer, because a second answer from you under the same question helps nobody.
- 03
Cut the article to fit
The draft keeps only the section of your post that answers this question and makes it stand alone. The link to your post goes at the end as the original source, never as the answer itself.
- 04
Disclose and credit
When the article mentions your own product, company or client, the draft says so in one plain sentence. Quotes from other people go in blockquotes with their source; your own republished text needs only the citation at the end.
- 05
Post after your OK, one body per question
post_answer runs only after you read the draft. For a batch of similar questions the agent writes a separate answer for each and refuses to post one text twice.
What you get back
Example data
Question: How do freelancers track expenses for taxes? (3 answers; the top one names no method)
Draft: 212 words from "How I track freelance expenses", opening with the one-card rule and the monthly export.
Added a disclosure line ("I write a bookkeeping blog for freelancers") and the original post cited at the end.
You approved the draft with one change to the second paragraph.

Skipped "Best way to track expenses as a freelancer?": you answered it on 3 Aug 2026. Other ways to ask
- Draft answers from my article for these three questions, each one different, and post none until I approve each.
- Here is a Quora question and my newsletter issue; draft an answer under 200 words that keeps the checklist.
- Rewrite this draft so it makes sense without the link to my site, then post it after I check it.
Before you automate it
What Quora allows, and what to know first
- Quora requires a relevant affiliation to be disclosed in the answer itself or in the credential shown with it, and says to disclose whenever in doubt.
- Quora does not allow affiliate links in answers, nor self-promotion that is not part of a direct, helpful response to the question.
- Quora may collapse or remove an answer that cannot be understood without visiting an external site when the link looks promotional.
- Quora lets writers republish their own content from another site without blockquote formatting, provided the answer cites the original publication at the end.
- Quora counts the same answer posted repeatedly under several questions as spam, especially when it is not customized for each question.
post_answer asks for your OK by default. To run it on a schedule without you, switch confirmation off for that tool in your dashboard.
