GetYourGuide automation · runs daily
Reply to GetYourGuide traveler messages with AI
Between tours, Bookings > Messages fills with the same questions: where exactly to meet, whether a stroller fits, if the 10:00 group can switch to 14:00. Each one needs the booking open next to it before you answer.
Cotlet does it in your own GetYourGuide account with list_messages, get_booking and reply_to_message, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

Can GetYourGuide do this on its own?
GetYourGuide launched Messages in the Supplier Portal on 2 March 2026, with AI Smart replies that draft an answer for the conversation you have open (checked 12 Oct 2026). Smart replies works one thread at a time inside the Portal, and the Supplier API documentation describes no endpoint for customer conversations.
By hand
How you do it in GetYourGuide today
- Log in to the Supplier Portal, open Bookings and select Messages.
- Open a conversation and read the history with the booking details shown next to it.
- Type a reply, or use Smart replies for an AI draft of that one conversation, edit it and send.
- Travelers who write by email reach you from an @reply.getyourguide.com relay address, and your email reply goes back through the same relay.
- Repeat for every unread thread. A request to cancel or change the date cannot be settled in the chat and needs Request cancellation in Bookings.
With an agent
How to reply to GetYourGuide traveler messages with AI
Prompt
Go through unread GetYourGuide messages, draft answers using each booking and my meeting point notes below, list any date change or cancellation requests, and show me the drafts before sending. - 01
Pull what is unanswered
list_messages with unread_only gives the queue. Threads for activities more than 7 days in the past are flagged first, because the GetYourGuide email relay for those bookings is already closed.
- 02
Read the booking behind each question
get_booking per reference gives the option, date, start time, party size and the traveler's language. The draft quotes those details, such as the 17:30 start for 2 adults and 1 child, instead of guessing.
- 03
Sort by what a message can settle
Meeting point, what to bring, accessibility and pickup timing get a draft from the notes you gave the agent. Requests to cancel, refund or move to another date go to a separate list, because GetYourGuide handles them through Request cancellation and its Care team.
- 04
Keep drafts inside the rules
Drafts carry no links to other booking sites and no coupon codes, since GetYourGuide blocks such messages.
- 05
Send after your OK
reply_to_message sends each draft you approve, edited or as is. When the same update fits everyone on one departure, the agent suggests Bookings > Message multiple customers instead of ten separate replies.
What you get back
Example data
4 unread conversations: 2 drafts ready, 2 need you
GYGZ4K2M9T1X Sam Rivera, Sat 17:30 harbor tour: asks where to meet, draft ready
GYGB7Q5N3R8D Anna Weber, Sat 18:30: asks about a stroller, draft ready
GYGK9D2F7M3S Tom Okafor: wants to move from Sunday to Monday, needs Request cancellation or your offer of a date
GYGP4R8T2V6N Mei Lin: asks for a refund, leave it to GetYourGuide Customer Care Other ways to ask
- Every evening at 8, draft answers to new GetYourGuide messages about tomorrow's tours only.
- Answer every meeting point question for the Old Town Food Walk with the new address, Plaza Mayor 3, and show me the list.
- Which unread messages ask to cancel or change the date? Do not reply, just list them.
Before you automate it
What GetYourGuide allows, and what to know first
- GetYourGuide delivers each Messages conversation both as a chat in the Supplier Portal and over its email relay.
- The GetYourGuide email relay opens once a booking is confirmed and closes 7 days after the activity; after that, GetYourGuide points suppliers to its contact form.
- GetYourGuide blocks customer messages that contain competitor links or coupon codes, including automatic follow-ups sent from a reservation system.
- A GetYourGuide cancellation asked for by the traveler goes through Request cancellation with the reason Customer requested cancellation, and the Care team confirms with the traveler before any refund.
- GetYourGuide broadcast messages under Bookings > Message multiple customers cannot be edited or deleted after sending.
reply_to_message asks for your OK by default. To run it daily without you, switch confirmation off for that tool in your dashboard.
