Okendo automation · runs daily
Reply to Okendo reviews with AI
New reviews keep arriving, and the ones with a complaint need a different kind of reply than the ones with five stars: private for an order problem, public for thanks.
Cotlet does it in your own Okendo account with list_reviews, suggest_review_reply and reply_to_review, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.
Hosted · nothing to install or maintain
Can Okendo do this on its own?
Okendo has Suggest AI Reply on all plans, one review at a time, and Auto Review Replies on the Growth plan and above (checked 23 Oct 2026). Auto Review Replies send without your approval, with one setting per sentiment. The Merchant API has a reply endpoint for enterprise customers. Nothing in Okendo chooses public or private from what the review says and waits for your OK.
How you do it in Okendo today
- In the Okendo admin, open Reviews > Moderation, find the review and click Reply, or open the review through its Details button.
- Write the reply or click Suggest AI Reply, then edit the draft or click Regenerate for a new one.
- Set two checkboxes: Visible to shoppers puts the reply on your storefront, and Email a copy to the reviewer sends it to the customer.
- Click Save. A reply hidden from shoppers shows a padlock icon in the admin, and a reply with neither box ticked works as an internal note.
- To fix a reply later, click Edit Reply or Delete Reply on the review.
How to reply to Okendo reviews with AI
Find published Okendo reviews from the last 3 days with no reply. Draft a reply for each with Okendo AI, reply publicly to 4 and 5 stars, and reply privately by email to anything with an order problem. - 01
Find reviews without a reply
list_reviews with status published returns each review with its reply, if there is one. The agent keeps the reviews from your window that have none, and skips reviews that already carry an internal note.
- 02
Get Okendo to draft it
suggest_review_reply returns the draft Okendo AI writes from the review and your last 6 human-written replies for that sentiment. The agent reads the draft against the review and calls again for a new one if it misses the point. Nothing is saved until the reply is sent.
- 03
Pick who sees it
Thanks for a 4 or 5 star review go public. A review with an order number, a refund request or account details gets a private reply by email only, which is what Okendo itself advises for personal details. Anything the agent cannot answer is listed for you.
- 04
Send the reply
reply_to_review sends the text with the two checkboxes set as chosen. A public reply appears on your storefront and a private one reaches only the reviewer, so each waits for your OK until you switch confirmation off.
- 05
Mind the limit of the tool
The agent cannot edit or delete a reply it sent. If a reply needs a fix, it tells you which review to open and which of Edit Reply or Delete Reply to use.
What you get back
Published reviews from the last 3 days with no reply: 9
Replied publicly 6, e.g. "Love the fit, runs true": thanks, size tip
Replied privately 2 (order problems): "Strap broke after a week", "Wrong colour arrived"
Left for you 1: "Is this safe for kids?" (needs product knowledge) Other ways to ask
- Reply only to reviews with 3 stars or fewer, and always privately.
- Draft replies for this week in a list I can edit, and send nothing.
- Add an internal note, with no email and nothing public, to every review that mentions delivery.
What Okendo allows, and what to know first
- Okendo AI draws on the review and its language, plus your last 6 human-written replies for the same sentiment, so a few good manual replies shape every draft.
- A new draft replaces the previous one when you regenerate, and Okendo says there is no rollback.
- A private reply by email reaches only the reviewer, and one with both boxes unticked stays in the admin as a note.
- Auto Review Replies sit under Reviews > Settings > Replies and use a Wait Time Before Replying plus a target word count per sentiment.
reply_to_review asks for your OK by default. To run it daily without you, switch confirmation off for that tool in your dashboard.

Is it safe to connect Okendo to Cotlet?
Yes. You sign in to Okendo yourself, in your own Cloud Browser in the EU, and we never save your password. Your agents only get Okendo once you enable it, every background request is listed, and the browser profile is stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM, the cipher 1Password uses for its vaults. The AI model never sees a login, posts and messages wait for your OK, and Disable for agents cuts access in one click. Independent scanners grade cotlet.dev A+ on Qualys SSL Labs, securityheaders.com and Mozilla Observatory; live results are on https://cotlet.dev/security.
