Rently automation · runs weekly

Find Rently properties with no showings

The Rently Data Dashboard tells you how many self-showings the company had last week, but not which homes had none. Finding the stale listings means opening the Activity Log of every on-market home before the Monday pricing meeting.

Cotlet does it in your own Rently account with get_dashboard, list_properties and get_property_activity, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

Official options

Can Rently do this on its own?

Rently has no endpoint to read showings per property on demand (checked 12 Oct 2026). Showings arrive as webhook events that Rently staff set up, and the Lead Activities report is a staff-provisioned export. The Data Dashboard shows company totals, and its Property Timeline graph only compares agent and self-showings per property by year or current month.

By hand

How you do it in Rently today

  1. Rently Tour Manager opens on the Data Dashboard: Total Self-Showings, Total Leads, On-Market and Off-Market Properties, filtered by Last Week, Last Month, Last Quarter or Custom.
  2. For one home, open Properties > All Properties, select it and click Activity Log in the Edit Property menu.
  3. Under Leasing Activities, pick the date range and scroll through Lead Traffic Source, Showings, Inquiries and Waitlist.
  4. An Admin can instead export lead activities as a CSV from Accounts > Settings > Data Export (documented for multifamily accounts) and sort it in a spreadsheet.
  5. Either way, the homes with zero tours are the ones with no rows, which is exactly what a quick scan misses.

With an agent

How to find Rently properties with no showings

Prompt

Every Monday, list my on-market Rently homes with no showings in the last 14 days, with how many inquiries each had and how long it has been on market, plus last week's total leads and self-showings.
  1. 01

    Get the week in numbers

Your agent reads the Data Dashboard for last week, so the report opens with total leads, self-showings and leads by source.

  2. 02

    Take only listed homes

It lists on-market properties. Waitlist and off-market homes are left out, since nobody can book them.

  3. 03

Read each Activity Log for the window

For every on-market home it reads the activity for your window and counts self-guided and agent showings, inquiries and survey feedback.

  4. 04

Separate the two kinds of stale

Homes with inquiries but no showings point to a booking or access problem; homes with neither point to price or photos. A home that went Rent Ready inside the window is marked new, not stale.

  5. 05

    Report, change nothing

The agent only reads, then sends the list sorted by days on market so the oldest problem is first.

What you get back

Example data

Last week: 64 leads, 38 self-showings (Zillow 31, website 18, Apartments.com 15)
No showings in 14 days, 3 of 14 on-market homes:
412 Oak St: 0 showings, 5 inquiries, on market since Sep 2 (inquiries but no tours)
7 Ridge Rd: 0 showings, 0 inquiries, on market since Sep 18
5 Lake Dr: 0 showings, became Rent Ready Oct 6 (new, not stale)

Other ways to ask

  • Which homes had showings but every survey said the price was the problem?
  • Compare last month's self-showings with agent showings per property.
  • Send me the Data Dashboard totals for last quarter, split by lead source.

Before you automate it

What Rently allows, and what to know first

  • The Rently Activity Log labels each showing as Auto Viewing (self-guided tour) or Controlled Showing (agent showing), so the two can be counted apart.
  • Rent Ready in the Rently Activity Log is the date the property was last set to on market, which is the start date for days on market.
  • Rently's Property Timeline graph on the Data Dashboard compares agent and self-showings per property, but filters only by the whole year or the current month.
  • Only Admins and Super Admins can run a Rently Data Export, and the CSV takes about 30 seconds to generate.

Every tool here only reads, so it can run weekly from n8n, Make, Zapier or cron without waiting for your OK.
