Skool automation · runs daily

Reply to unanswered Skool posts with AI

A new member finally writes their first post in your Skool group, nobody comments for two days, and they never post again.

Cotlet does it in your own Skool account with list_posts, get_post and comment_on_post, called by your AI agent, an n8n workflow or a script.

Hosted · nothing to install or maintain

Official options

Can Skool do this on its own?

Skool has no filter for unanswered posts and no API to read posts or comment (checked 12 Oct 2026). Its notifications cover new posts, likes and comments, and the Zapier plugin has no post or comment triggers or actions.

By hand

How you do it in Skool today

  1. A Skool admin can turn on the [Admin only] New post notification under profile picture > Settings > Notifications, which Skool meant for smaller groups because it alerts on every post.
  2. In larger groups, the admin scrolls back through the community feed, or a category an admin set to the New sort, checking the comment count on each recent post.
  3. For every post with no replies, the admin opens it, reads the question and writes a comment, then clicks the bell icon on the post to follow later activity.
  4. The scrolling is the slow part: the Skool feed has no filter for posts without comments, so quiet posts sit between popular ones and are easy to miss.

With an agent

How to reply to unanswered Skool posts with AI

Prompt

Find posts in yourgroup from the last 3 days with no comments, skip anything from admins, and draft a reply to each that answers the question or asks one follow-up.
  1. 01

    Collect the quiet posts

list_posts runs with since set to your window (3 days by default) and the agent keeps only posts with zero comments, leaving out pinned posts and anything written by an admin or by you.

  2. 02

    Read before writing

For each candidate, get_post brings the full text and attachments, so a question about a screenshot or a linked page is answered with that context, not from the preview line.

  3. 03

    Decide if it needs you

Posts about refunds, billing, complaints or anything the agent cannot answer from your course material are listed for you instead of answered.

  4. 04

    Reply in your voice

comment_on_post adds one comment per post that answers the question or asks one useful follow-up, and points to a Classroom lesson when one fits. Each comment waits for your OK by default.

  5. 05

    Stop on new activity

Right before commenting, the agent checks the post again; if a member replied in the meantime, it skips the post so you never pile on.

What you get back

Example data

Posts from the last 3 days with no comments: 6
Replied 4:
- "How do you price a first client?" (Lena Ortiz) linked Pricing module 2
- "My landing page converts at 1%" (Sam Okafor) asked for the URL
Left for you 2:
- "Can I get a refund for October?" (billing)
- "Is the Thursday call cancelled?" (needs your calendar)

Other ways to ask

  • Only check the Questions category and reply to anything older than 24 hours with no answer.
  • Every evening, list unanswered posts from members at level 1 and draft replies, but do not post them.
  • Find posts from this week where the only comments are from the author and reply to those too.

Before you automate it

What Skool allows, and what to know first

  • Skool gives 1 point per like on a post or comment, and a member reaches level 2 at 5 points, so an early reply and a like help a newcomer past the plugin that limits posting to level 2 or 3, if you use it.
  • Skool ranks groups in Discovery by member growth, engagement and retention, and lists "Active owner and admins" among its ranking boosts and "Inactive owner" among its penalties.
  • Skool's AutoMod flags posts and comments from high-risk accounts for admin review, and a reply to a flagged post only gives a likely spammer attention.
  • Skool members get a daily email summing up unread likes, comments and mentions, so a reply to their post can pull a quiet member back into the group.

comment_on_post asks for your OK by default. To run it daily without you, switch confirmation off for that tool in your dashboard.
