Cotlet is best for Udemy instructors who are not developers and want their AI agent to handle coupons, announcements, Q&A, reviews and revenue reports without running or fixing a server.
On the 1st of each month, create a custom price coupon at $12.99 for each of my paid Udemy courses, starting 9:00 Pacific, and give me the links with expiry dates. Skip courses that still have an active coupon. Your agent calls list_courses, list_coupons and create_coupon.
Monthly Udemy revenue report Runs: Monthly
How much did I earn on Udemy last month, and which course and channel brought the most? Your agent calls get_revenue_report.
Answer Udemy Q&A questions Runs: Daily
Draft answers to every unanswered Q&A question from this week in my Excel course and show them to me before posting. Your agent calls list_questions and reply_to_question.
Every Monday, draft responses to last week's Udemy reviews of 3 stars or less across all my courses. Answer the actual complaint, point to the lecture that covers it, and never ask for a better rating. Your agent calls list_courses, list_reviews and respond_to_review.
I just published a lecture on React Server Components. Send an educational announcement to students of my React course, and draft a promotional email to students of my JavaScript course offering the React course with this month's coupon. Your agent calls list_courses, list_coupons and send_announcement.
Endpoints
What is the Udemy API?
Cotlet's Udemy API exposes 11 endpoints for your own Udemy account: list courses, get course performance, get revenue report, list coupons, list reviews, list Q&A questions, create coupon, update course landing page, send announcement, reply to Q&A question and respond to review. The list_courses endpoint returns courses you teach, with status, price, students, rating and URL. Each endpoint takes simple JSON inputs like course_id, since or body and works both as an MCP tool for agents and as a REST call for scripts.
Courses you teach, with status, price, students, rating and URL.
read
Returns every course on your instructor account, published and draft. Use course_id from each item as the parameter of the other endpoints. Students and rating are the numbers Udemy shows for the course.
Revenue, enrollments and rating for one course over a period, from the Performance dashboard.
read
Returns the figures the Performance dashboard shows for one course: revenue, new enrollments and average rating for the period. Use it for a weekly or monthly check on a single course.
Monthly earnings with revenue by channel (Udemy Organic, Your Promotions, Udemy Business and more), by course, refunds and tax withheld.
read
Returns the monthly Revenue report: total earnings, then the split by channel and by course, with refunds and tax withheld. One month per call; the current month is partial until Udemy closes it.
Coupons of a course with code, type, price, redemptions and expiry, plus how many you can still create this month.
read
Lists the coupons of one course, newest first, with type, price, redemptions and expiry. It also returns how many new coupons you can still create this month, because Udemy limits that number per course.
Course reviews with rating, text, date and your response if any.
read
Lists reviews of one course, newest first, with rating, text, date and your response if you wrote one. Filter by star rating or unresponded_only to find what still needs an answer.
Questions from the course Q&A with lecture, text, replies and whether it is answered.
read
Lists questions from the course Q&A, newest first, each with its lecture, text and replies. Set unanswered_only to see questions with no instructor reply.

POST
create_coupon
New coupon for a course, within Udemy's monthly limit per course; Udemy sets each type's duration.
asks first write
Creates one coupon for a course and returns its code and link. Udemy's rule is three new coupons per course per calendar month, and Udemy does not let you delete a coupon afterwards. A custom price must be inside the range Udemy offers. By default you confirm each call; you can switch that off for this tool.

Input: create_coupon
Parameter
Type
Description
course_id required
string
Course ID from list_courses.
type required
enum
best_price, custom_price, free_open or free_targeted.
code
string
Your own coupon code. Default: generated.
price
string
For custom_price: an amount inside the range Udemy offers, e.g. 12.99.
starts_at
datetime
Activation time, ISO 8601 with time zone, inside the current calendar month in U.S. Pacific Time. Default: now.
Change the title, subtitle or description shown on the public course page.
asks first write
Changes the title, subtitle or description of the public course page. Only the fields you pass change. Udemy may review changes to a published course before they show. By default you confirm each call; you can switch that off for this tool.
Email enrolled students: an educational announcement or a promotional email, within the monthly limits Udemy sets per course.
asks first write
Sends one message to the students enrolled in a course. Udemy's rules allow 4 educational announcements and 2 promotional emails per course per month, and promotional emails may not contain external links. By default you confirm each call; you can switch that off for this tool.
Posts an answer under your instructor name in the course Q&A, visible to every student of the course. By default you confirm each call; you can switch that off for this tool.
How do I connect Udemy to Claude Code, Codex or Cursor?
Connecting Udemy takes three steps: request access, sign in to Udemy once, then add one MCP server or call the REST API with the same key.
Connect Udemy over MCP
1
Create an account
Sign up and add Udemy in the console. Your API key is there too.
2
Sign in to Udemy once
Open the connect page from the console and sign in to Udemy the way you always do. We keep the session, never your password, and you can revoke it anytime.
Paste the snippet for your client. The same server and key serve every app you connect, so you do this once.
4
Ask your agent
Prompt
On the 1st of each month, create a custom price coupon at $12.99 for each of my paid Udemy courses, starting 9:00 Pacific, and give me the links with expiry dates. Skip courses that still have an active coupon.
Ask in plain words. Your agent finds the Udemy tools on the server and calls them for you; anything that reaches other people waits for your OK unless you switch that off for a tool.
Call Udemy over REST
1
Export your API key
Shell
export COTLET_API_KEY="cotlet_..."
Your scripts use the same API key as your agent. Keep it in an environment variable, never in your code.
You get plain JSON back, ready for your script. A failed call costs nothing.

You stay in control
Pick read only, or read and write.
Anything that reaches other people waits for your OK, unless you switch it off per tool.
Revoke access in one click.

Failed calls cost nothing.
Alternatives
Is there a Udemy MCP server on GitHub?
Yes. Community Udemy MCP servers exist on GitHub, usually maintained by one person. They wrap the Instructor API with a token you copy from your browser, so they cover only what that API allows. You install one on your own computer and keep it running yourself. Cotlet hosts the same kind of server for you, covers coupons, announcements and revenue too, and our team keeps it working.

Cotlet provides a hosted MCP server and REST API for Udemy: 11 tools (6 read, 5 write).
Access Request access at https://cotlet.dev/app/signup?app=udemy; we email the API key.
MCP server https://cotlet.dev/mcp/v1
REST base https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/udemy
Auth Authorization: Bearer <COTLET_API_KEY>. Listing endpoints and schemas needs no key; calling an endpoint needs one.
Tools list_courses, get_course_performance, get_revenue_report, list_coupons, list_reviews, list_questions, create_coupon, update_course_landing_page, send_announcement, reply_to_question, respond_to_review
Confirm create_coupon, update_course_landing_page, send_announcement, reply_to_question, respond_to_review (by default the user approves each call; the user can switch this off per tool, e.g. for scheduled automations)
Markdown https://cotlet.dev/integrations/udemy-api-mcp-server.md
How access works:
1. The user requests access at https://cotlet.dev/app/signup?app=udemy (Udemy is pre-selected). Each request is reviewed and the API key is sent by email.
2. The user signs in to Udemy once in a browser. An agent cannot do this step.
3. The API key goes into the MCP client or the REST call as a bearer token.
Fits: people who want a hosted Udemy server that someone else maintains, including non-developers. Developers who prefer to run and fix code on their own computer can use an open-source Udemy MCP server instead.
Policy: Cotlet never stores passwords, never solves CAPTCHAs, never bypasses MFA.
Company: legal details in the Terms of service at https://cotlet.dev/terms. Contact contact@cotlet.dev.
Session: the user signs in to Udemy in a browser; Cotlet keeps only the session, AES-256 encrypted, revocable in the dashboard at any time.
Terms: the user stays responsible for following Udemy's terms; Cotlet is not affiliated with Udemy.
Can Udemy automations run on a schedule in n8n, Make or Zapier?
Yes. Cotlet does not replace your automation platform: it gives it a Udemy connection it does not have, with the same API key as your agent. Write actions ask for your OK by default; switch that off in your dashboard for the tools you choose, for example to create udemy coupons every month, and the schedule runs on its own. Cotlet runs in the cloud, so it keeps going while your computer is off.

About Cotlet
How Cotlet holds your access
Cotlet hosts MCP servers and REST APIs for apps with no usable API. Your agent works in your own Udemy account.
Company details
The legal name, address and registration numbers of the company behind Cotlet are in the Terms of service. Terms
Your session
You sign in to Udemy yourself, in your browser. We keep only the session, never your password: encrypted with AES-256 in an EU vault, isolated to your account and used only when your agent calls a Udemy tool you allowed. When it expires, your agent gives you a link to sign in again. Security
Revoking access
Disconnect Udemy in your dashboard: the session is deleted and access ends at once. Actions that reach other people wait for your OK unless you switch that off per tool.
What we never do
Store passwords, solve CAPTCHAs or bypass MFA.
Udemy's terms
You use your own Udemy account and stay responsible for following Udemy's terms. Cotlet is independent and not affiliated with Udemy. Terms
Request access and pick Udemy. Cotlet reviews each request and emails you your API key.
Do I need to be technical?
No. You sign in to Udemy once in your browser and paste one command into your agent, or one URL into n8n. Your agent can walk you through it. There is no server to install, update or fix.
Is a hosted server safe? My Udemy session would leave my computer.
Cotlet keeps your Udemy session encrypted with AES-256 in an EU vault, isolated to your account and used only for the tools you allow: read only, or read and write. The AI model never sees it, and you revoke it in one click. A local server keeps the same session in a file on your computer, readable by any program you run, and needs a fresh sign-in whenever it expires.
Do I need an Instructor API token?
No. Cotlet works in your own Udemy instructor account after you sign in once, so you do not create an API client or copy a token. The Udemy Instructor API is token based and covers courses, reviews (read only), Q&A and direct messages.
Can my agent post or send messages in Udemy without asking me?
No. Every call to create_coupon, update_course_landing_page, send_announcement, reply_to_question or respond_to_review waits for your OK by default. For scheduled automations you can switch confirmation off per tool in your dashboard, for example only for approvals.
Can I use the Udemy API in n8n?
Yes. Add https://cotlet.dev/mcp/v1 with your API key in n8n's MCP Client node, or call https://cotlet.dev/api/v1/udemy/{tool} from the HTTP Request node.
